He has not pay back any dime yet. And since we are this far - I do not think he will ever repay anything.
Quote
I have asked him today again in the local thread here again to pay back the loan. He is not active anymore but i hope he read the posts in the local thread and decide to pay back in case he has forgotten it.

The loan amount was 0.0095 to be repaid which is around 220$ and it is quite less now as compared to the previous year when the bitcoin price was high in the bull run.
Indymoney was last active on 24 Feb 2024. Almost year passed and he did not make any post. He may leave the forum because of so many negative feedback

He is active on telegram and last active before 4 hours. I sent him message too in telegram. When he read messages I will try to update here.  hope this issue will be solve soon.

Anyway, does indy money has repaid some of the loan to Royse777 or he is still doesn't pay anything? I've seen him online on this forum recently

I thought there was a deal between them that looked like DeFi loans. He borrowed about $200 from a creditor, saying that he didn't work, maybe that's why he couldn't repay this loan to him? Do you know what collateral he had?

The borrower's collateral was his reputation on this forum.

The case is very old so I don't see the relevance of such questions anymore. I don't know what's making you curious, but if you want to learn more, you can read OP's post again and figure out everything else on your own.

What is the point of asking for a loan equal to the collateral value of the asset? Why then should he return the debt if the creditor has already received the pledge? Why is a loan repayment required?

A loan repayment is required because it forms part of the original agreement between the parties. It has nothing to do with the value of collateral assets.
You shouldn't even ask for a loan if you think the loan doesn't need to be repaid. Instead, you should sell your alternative assets instead.

No i didn't think so. Indymoney didn't have collateral?

The loan was non collateral, so ndIndymoney did not repay and the lender did not get the money back. Lending is a risky business, the lender only lends to a user if he thinks he has the ability to repay the loan. But many times it is seen that many users do not repay the loan even if it is a small amount. So lenders have to be very careful.

With your ranking and trust status. You think you can get a no collateral loan? I doubt  Grin

Indymoney  had a high ranking account at that time, plus I believe he was participating in a signature campaign. So OP probably thought he would be able to repay back the loan after some time, which unfortunately didn't happen.
That might be the one who make OP convence that he will pay since he has a campaign before so I this is one of the reminder that eventhough a user have join on a camp there are still chances that they cannot afford to pay the amount the borrowed on the given timeline. So best for other lender to check more their borrowers since if the trust them so much with huge amount for sure we will see another case like this.

I don't think yes is the answer to that because lending money online is the riskiest kind of business in this forum and you can't guarantee someone that they are going to pay you back. Also, you can't ask for a loan when you're a low ranking member of the forum, not enough trust can be put into you so these lenders will stay away from you.
It’s a pity that the rules are strict, I just needed a small loan

So, reading this thread you thought, hey this one is naive maybe he'll give me a loan that I don't have to pay back. right?
First, this thread is not a loan service offering, it's accusations against a bad person who abused someone's trust. Next, your chances of getting any loan here are zero, only if you have good collateral to offer.

Just so you know, the amount OP lent @Indymoney was 0.0075 BTC, just $85 at that time. This was very little money for Indymoney to pay back in a couple of weeks via a signature campaign, but I guess he was just a scammer.

Right now 0.0075 seems a huge amount due to the previous BTC bull run.

Just saw this but I thought this was going to happen as some of the explanations seemed very suspicious to me and they sounded like typical excuses. He probably could have saved his rep if he chipped away at the debt over time with his sig campaign earnings but looks like he can't even do that now. He still owes money for the PL pool entry fee and I kept giving him extensions on that and I told him to make sure he pays this loan back first. He stopped playing a while ago as well which was a bit silly as he could have potentially won some money to pay you back even if partially. I know he probably got himself into a situation where he can't pay it all back but he would have been able to pay some of it back at least but with a tarnished account even that option is impossible now.

Now after having this scam accusation I am feeling not good to be part of this campaign just because of this I remove signature have some serious issues just because of this unable to pay back any thing but still fighting hard for doing this all clear.

I really don't understand your reasoning. Has it ever occurred to you to transfer your earnings from a signature campaign to your debt?

You had a good position in a bitvest campaign that you've been building for a long time, and you spoiled it, even though you could easily repay the debt to Royse777 with that money. Very irresponsible and dishonest conduct on your part.

The guy was a sig spammer, and sig spammers are thieves. They are stealing money from other bounty hunters who do respect campaign rules, and don't shitpost to boost their activity.

It sincerely saddens me to see that this guy is now also stealing from Royse777.

Nevertheless he still seems to find the time to happily continue writing posts on the Hindi boards.

Honestly, if I were him, instead of posting on the forum, I'd spend every second of my spare time to gain money and pay back the loan.

(...) I am feeling not good to be part of this campaign just because of this I remove signature (...)

Don't pretend you removed your signature voluntarily because of feelings of guilt; the campaign simply kicks people out when they receive negative trust.

It's a shame that @Indymoney has been receiving payments from the signature campaign he has been participating in but never even thought about the person who helped him out.

From this transaction which he decided to spend at the beginning of this month you can clearly see that he didn't spend any Bitcoins for 6 weeks. Why didn't he just send Royse777 that BTC as a way of reducing the debt? The total input in the transaction was 0.00940062 BTC

I don't like people who are too selfish to even think about those who helped them out. Regardless of the situation. We all have challenges in life. The Best thing he should have done was first pay up @Royse777 then get another smaller loan if life got really so hard.

Hi mate you have written this like crap but also you are not telling all the truth here. It is not just that you are not feeling good and you allegedly are thinking of removing the signature. The truth is, when campaign manager @CryptopreneurBrainboss finds out he will kick you out of the campaign. He may give you some time to solve the issue but the rule is very clear: no people with red trust are allowed in the campaign.

If you were to get out of the campaign, how are you going to pay your loan? You said that you were having problems in your personal life and I don't think that it is a smart move that you are going to quit the campaign, it doesn't make you absolved of your loan default, it will only look like you are giving some excuse to not pay it.

This scam accusation is your fault and only yours. Royse gives you more than enough time but you didn't care even if you made some earnings here. Now, this loan will cost you much more than the initial amount, you are left without any such profit through signature campaigns. I must say, not exactly clever thinking by your side.

did it even occur to you that Royse also had complications caused by Corona crisis?

This is very generous of Royse to give him so many months to pay back the loan and did not claim scam accusations. I have not seen any loan defaulter given so much time. It seems he has been taking all this time as non-serious and have no intention to pay back. Now that he has been out of signature campaign, the only hope of returning the loan also seems to be very less likely.

When i checked bitvest spreadsheet1 from loan started at Oct 17th, from week #96 until #112 (current), this guy, indymoney has earned around 0.035 BTC from his signature campaign. That amount even more than 3 times bigger than the loan amount, so it's almost impossible to him to not able repay the loan (he can even do some partial payment if he really want to pay his loan).

Sorry for your loss, Royse777. As he has removed his signature now, so i think it's a big chance he will not and never repay the loan.

it's been a long time, I guess there is a problem with a big jump in Bitcoin value, from $12k in October to $50k today.
did you not have any contact about debt payment? I see Indymoney is active and participate in the signature campaign, even if Bitvest one of lowest payment campaign, he earned much more than he owes.

You should think even before to pay a certain percent of the loan and pay again on next week or continuously so that royse can see some progress on your loan but you never pay him some amount when you are earning on your sig campaign that's why expect that he will be angry to you. And this recent price spikes really give a huge impact to this loan so try to find ways to pay him within this week or in next since if bitcoin price surge again your problem will pile up.

If @Indymoney is active in a signature campaign then shouldn't he/she should've prioritized paying the debt a long time ago. The problem with this is that the lender doesn't have any leverage against the person that asked for the loan and all @Royse777 gets is a sob story. One story is enough but the second and other incoming stories are not a good indicator that you are honoring your loan. If @Indymoney does pay the loan, I think that a neutral trust should be left behind at best, so as prevent this kind of behavior from happening again.

@Indymoney

I can understand that the pandemic has not been easy on many people. But you have to think that the lender has been kind enough to provide you with money in terms of need. It is your duty to pay back what you own others, not doing so is a serious consequence. You have been a member of this forum long enough to know that loan defaulters are not shown any leniency because what they did was steal money.

But you can still make things right and pay up what you owe @Royse777 and get back whatever reputation you have with this account with time (of course not completely). You can understand that amount that was loaned to you is a huge value in USD for a person who was generous, this might be money that they need back in time.

That is how the system works. Lenders are kind enough to give loans to those who need it and borrowers have been punctual enough to pay up what they owe. Otherwise it will be members like you who will lead to the downfall of p2p lending in this forum.

Flag supported and negative trust left - both will be modified in case the accused pays back in full or in an amount that is satisfactory to the lender.

This singature campaign was a form for him to buy time from me. Not once and twice but several times I guess. Long ago Lightlord delayed his payment (I guess it was 5 weeks delay), Indy was suppose to forward the entire payment (if I remember correctly) to cover his debt but several day after the payement when I checked the payment address and found it was sent to another address then I asked an explanation. He told me something about harddrive crash or moving data or something. I cann't remember. I knew, something was wrong but still I brought his excuses. After that there were several more ocassions and he kept buying time until last week when I said this is the last that I will wait until the next Monday (Yesterday).
Thank you for sharing the full story. After hearing everything its pretty much clear to me that you gave him enough time to repay but he wasn't interested enough to pay back. All his excuses was just to buy some time from you and he showed a lot of excuses if i am not wrong. Personally i went through similar situation and i can imagine what type of excuses someone can make when his actual intention is to kill time rather than returning money.

Flag supported from my end and i will add this users information on List of Proven Scammers.

I am very much easy going person. I put pressure once I see things has gone out of control. Until then I keep calm and consider anything to make other person to have a stressless life when they are in a trade with me.

I will not enter into any discussion with you regarding this situation. You took a loan that you did not repay. I just pointing that you earn some Bitcoin from the signature campaign, but still, you never sent a part to repay the debt. I assume you sent one weekly signature payment during the month, there would not be this situation now. You had to think about all this earlier. Royse777 give you a good favour, and you in return do not return his money.
Now things going to be more complicate, you will probably be removed from this campaign because of negative tags.

As I say, I follow this thread in the case something positive change, will remove my negative trust immediately.

A loan of 17 Days duration (repay November 03, 2020) but could not repay even in 122 days and ongoing (February 16th 2021). He was given more than enough time, several extentions but never seen any intension to repay the debt. He even came up with repaying additional interest1 for the delays but all I received were some sob stories.

I believe the user is in need of money and possibly struggling without any job (as per his words). But I am here running a business not a charity. I gotta do that I needed to do. Account has been tagged. Flag will be created after making this post. However if he ever decides to repay the full amount then all red alerts will be removed. This is the least I could do.
