It really depends in the coin that you are promoting,some coins do not have a wallet yet and they will have to wait for their Ico to finish and launch the coin,some of them do have a wallet already and you need to download the wallet immediately to get your rewards if that coin is paying in a weekly basis..
Read the guide on every coin that you are promoting ..
You can sell or hold that coins or token it all depends in your faith in the coin you are promoting ,there is no single rule.

Indeed, I have noticed that every coin has own rules. Is promoting new coin profit in your opinion!

Usually coins are not listed in exchange soon after ico.So downloading a wallet is a best option.
If a coin has good roadmap and dev team, holding it is a good idea but it is entirely an individual decision and nobody can tell you which coin to hold and which to sell

Actually the chance rate of both succesful and failure really can't be determined.

Success of coin depends on the acceptance of a people. No matter how clever the coin creator is, if people will not adopt or even give it a try then coin will turned to a shit one. The sad part, because of a failure of some new coins on ICO, people are being scammed since devs stopping their project and not pursuing to push it more. Investing on ICO is really a risky one so people needs to study the proposed development of and future plan of a certain alt and if it's really possible to achieved those listed in their respective fearless roadmap.

ICO - initial coin offering, people can buy coins before official release. If coin gets enough investors on ICO, it's success. If coin don't get enough investors on ICO, it can stop development of coin and project can collapse.

if the altcoin is not yet released (like the new ones) then you have to wait until there is a wallet then install it and then sync (by downloading its blockchain) and receive your payment.

or if it is a released altcoin already available on an exchange you can go there and make an address and receive your payment.

for more information ask your signature manager or ask the coin developers.
