You can run that on either Windows or Linux server. That site actually explain how to install it.

I'm looking for any info on how to set up a p2pool. I will be using either a vps or an Amazon Ec2 server. This would be a brand new endeavor for me, and I have really no idea where to start, but I'm up to the challenge if someone can point the way. Not necessarily looking to "profit" from the pool, more just trying to see if I can do it and keep it running.
