Thank you, sncc, for your infographics (I knew this one is not your first one). It is just my opnion, I don't really think that infographics can make better, or clearer explanations about technical terms (in the case merit system's mechanism). All necessary stuffs have been explained there:
Merits and new rank requirements
Infographics in specific cases require lots of space for each thread, which make readers a little bit uncomfortable, stretching their eyes to read all the infographics-included posts.

I don't thinks this one is great ideas. Only lazy readers/ users (most of them spammers and/ or English-impaired users) like infographics.

I'm taking a look at the info-graphic and I've got a few things that stick out at me upon first glance. This is just my opinion, not sure if anybody else would feel this way, but I noticed you put time-frames next to the rank up chart and I'm assuming you did this based off of activity; I would suggest you add a disclaimer or explanation somewhere that would include the required amount of merit one would have to gain and at what pace to maintain this time-frame. For example, mentioning "*Times are assuming you receive merit at a rate that will not halt the progress of your activity rank-ups, 1-Merit per day", I haven't done the math, because I'm on the run, but I think I explained my point. I point this out, because newbies may be unaware that you will never rank-up unless you receive merit and in order to become a Member you would need 1-merit per week or something like that to not slow down your rank.
Thanks for your opinion, yes I wrote the minimum necessary times as I have seen many people ask about it.
The times are written in blue font, the same color as Activity, with which I was trying to imply that those times are minimum necessary time for Activity, but taking into your feedback I will reconsider its presentation.

I do not like the over-lapping charts for Merit/Activity, but I understand why you did it. The style just is a bit rough on the eyes, for me. I would like to have seen them separately displayed, because they are indeed separate systems and this gives the impression they are somehow intertwined.
I know your point as I tried independent graphs in the previous version but to me it looks more concise to display them together, and I end up with the current form.

I got a big chuckle out of the stock photos used to visualize the system. I have to say that when I opened the link, I wasn't expecting much, but you've done very well.
I know what you mean, there are so many posts about this, so I hope my infographic can become the last one, after which everyone understands the system.
I am happy to hear you agree with my point and had some laugh  Wink

I have made an infographic about the current rank up system of the forum.
While I have posted it in this thread in Meta, it would be also useful to share it here for Newbies.

You can find other infographics listed in the OP of Merit & new rank requirements
( paxmao's infographic, ibminer's infographic, 8Habits's infographic, JetSet11's infographic, zentdex's infographic, alia_armelle's infographic )
but I tried to make more graphical, intuitive, and reader-friendly infographic.
When you want to use them in your post, please quote my original threads: the current thread or this thread in Meta.

Hope it is helpful.  Enjoy the forum!
