Right! I even heard of a few apps that help drivers find the nearest parking lots — but these are not decentralized, though.

Here's what I think: What's taking them so long to take over Uber is the fact that up until now, centralized transactions is still preferred by most over blockchain-based transactions. So without enough patrons, any blockchain-controlled innovation will just be a second option.

The market is getting bigger and bigger everyday yet I still have to see any of these decentralized platforms to be stealing the scene from Uber. It was in 2009 when Uber, a centralized ride-hailing company, started. Now it's 2019. Maybe it's time for decentralized ride-sharing platforms to take over.
