I am curious where the intersection of Ingress and bitcoin will end up being.  The items are non-transferable, so there can't easily be a bitcoin market for it.  Maybe ingress itself will end up with it's own alt-coin (but I hope not).  Perhaps the bitcoin blockchain can be used to transfer items or something like that.

From what I've seen there's a bunch of people trying to get in, and several people enjoying the view from the inside.

The best way I've seen to get an invite if you have talent is to post art on G+ for the people running the show to see and they're handing out invites on that basis as said. I've signed up for ingressinvites.com but since it was only this morning I haven't heard back yet

Current player counts are totaling 2.7 Million. It was only about 250k two days ago!

I heard that an app is in the works for iOS devices. If it were me, I'd go buy a cheap compatible tablet to play on.

They need to put it on the iphone so people can actually play it.
