They didn't offer me another miner, they offered me a coupon "soon".... no amount given, really shitty.

reality its because ibelink come to decred mining with asic at 6 th for 6300 dollars , at end of june all d9 make just 20 dollars profit , and obelisk make 2 dollars per days .  don't worry because the ibelink in end of june make 60 dollars . At the end never people make roi with this asic , only one way ,you hold decred and sell to 150 or 200 dollars .

Is there any buyer protection or anything that can be done about this?

Sadly, the only thing you can do is be a keyboard warrior and post about your experience.

Companies do this all the time, although it is just more pronounced in the crypto world. That is the reason why you should never believe in "50% off sales!" and whatnot. They are all carefully designed to take your money.

That being said, what single miner costs $6700 though?

Lots of companies do it. I paid full price for my S9+ and a month later they are running a buy one get one free promotion. You just bought at the wrong time.

I feel pretty burnt here.  I just bought a $6700~ miner and now you can get one for free through your order.

Is there any buyer protection or anything that can be done about this?

Not sure if anyone else is in the same boat but it sucks.

Buy 2 more + 2 more free to dollar cost average your purchases or take it as lesson learned and move on.
My only income is crypto, primarily mining with ASICs, and personally, I think $6700 for ANY ASIC is too high risk - even $2k is *usually* too much given the "shit happens" factor, but that's just my opinion.
