Already got the file from him and there are lots of viruses scanned with virus total and my antivirus.

There are trojans, spy hawk and malware and all kinds of trojan according to virustotal. It's not safe to download and open with windows.

Here's the scanned result below.

I can say that you are dealing with a fake sales manager so stay away from him.

Yeah, I think I got his skype from there.

But if he's legit why would he send me a file with a virus? Maybe he's a scam. Please, everyone take care! I blocked and reported him.

If needed I can post here our conversation. An the file he sent me, because I downloaded it and checked it with antivirus.
Can you share the file you are talking about through PM?  I would like to check it with my antivirus and virustotal and I would like to use it as a proof if this user is really representative or not I'll ask it directly to Innosilicon to verify so that we can tag him if he is an impersonator.

Sorry about yesterday I didn't reply. I went to bed. When I reach my computer, I'll if I can host the file somewhere to send it to you.

I can't find this contact info from their official website it seems not a real innosilicon seller.

Like the above much safer is to order directly to their official site than dealing to this man.

I tried to search about this skype name here on the forum and there is someone using this skype name from here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/innosilicont2t-30t-btc-miner-the-only-volume-stock-available-in-the-market-5150200

According to him, he is Innosilicon representative and he just promoting their product here on the forum like the thread above. It seems legit but I don't know if he is really representative of innosilicon.

For safety much better go directly to their official website to avoid being scam.

Yeah, that's why I asked here.

I'm new to Crypto and learning how to spot scams. I started in Crypto at the beginning of this year and in Telegram I was targeted by scammers at least for 6 or 7 times. I lost a small amount of BtC (about €60) to someone that was part of a Trading major Telegram Group and said I was wasting her time to only invest those €60. Lesson learnt.

Now I'll be always looking for feedback and other's opinions. In this particular case, the guy sent that file to me but he had already asked my email to send me a proof that he was legit! I didn't believe and kept asking for solid proof he was legit. He couldn't deliver any, other than that file I immediately recognized as a possible trojan.

So, despite the fact that I'm running Linux, and probably that file would be harmless on my OS, I ran it in an antivirus (Clam AV) and it detected an Win.Malware.Nymeria-6992323-0. So I sent him the antivirus report and he just called me idiot!

I just blocked and reported him.

But despite all these fuss, I can't understand why there are no EU resellers from Bitmain or INNOSILICON or others. I can't understand why they don't have trusted people in Telegram, Skype, Discord, etc. They could manage to find a way via GPG keys or so to verify and prove to customers they are legit or something. I'm just speculating, though!

only a person looking to be robbed buys Innosilicon from skype.

In less then a month I saved someone from losing 40k to a skype con-artist.

I just found 2 contacts claiming to be related to INNOSILICON. One of the contact never accepted my invite in Skype. The other accepted and started chatting with me. This one claimed to be a sales manager from INNOSILICON and I asked him proof of what he was saying. He asked me my email and he would send me a proof. That raised a red flag to me and started being a bit more harsh at him. The guy insisted in my email but I kept telling him that if he can't prove he's legit without asking any info from me, I wouldn't keep speaking to him. Then he showed lack of interest saying that I should only use his time when I'm ready to order. I said back "great costumer service you are providing. Spare some time first proving you are legit" and I told him to come back at me with some real proof.

A little later he sent me a file to Skype. When I saw the file extension, another red flag raised. I'm not a Windows user many years now but I recognized that file extension in a blink of an eye. An '.scr' file was known as a file to very likely carrying viruses within it. I told him that I was not going to open that file because despite the fact that it would probably be inoffensive to me due to the fact that I'm not Windows user, I would pass that file through some antivirus and would only open it in a VM with Windows.

So, this said, oes anyone knows any sales manager from INNOSILICON that is taking care of real business in Skype with the name of 'wangxl_28'? I got 2 hits when I searched this name!

Another fact is that he stopped speaking to me after this.
