Here are few features that you can do to make it look similar as if you bookmarked it.

1. You can always stay logged in whenever you're on your browser.
But this won't help you to bookmark a particular thread and it's just save your time to go through captcha and all other stuff.

2. You can set a notification bot or a notify button to always get updates

3. You can copy the reference link to the thread or go through the history of your browser

4. You can also add bitcointalk on your home screen and book market the page you wanted there.
The best is to bookmark on your browser so that you can easily visit the thread whenever you want to or setup a notification bot is also good that can redirect you to that particular thread without looking for it again and again.

You might be pointing to put your post or thread into the watchlist because if you talking about bookmarking then the browser already has this feature to bookmark a page.

Watchlist is not a good place because it will be flooded with each topic you make a post in, since "Watch this topic" in Additional Options is selected by default. As a result, most people's watchlists are several pages long and full of old threads.

Maybe there is a way to set it to disabled by default in the account settings, but I am not so sure about that.

It's true that the general watchlist will list all the topics you post on, but you can easily delete topics from that list.
But, logically, for important topics that you want to save, you should use your browser's favorites.

Now the main watchlist page usually only lists the latest topics with new posts that you haven't had the opportunity to read yet. If that waiting list gets too long, it's a sign that you're not reading everything or that a lot of what's on there isn't interesting. In this case, you must remove those topics that are no longer of interest.

Sometimes we need to take time to organize things, and thus save time in the future. If we don't want to spend that time organizing, it's also difficult to find solutions that help organize. All the tools to help us organize require time on our part to keep them organized.

Then, I try to add this thread Bitcoin Awareness - Welcoming New Bitcoiners with $1 Worth of Sat in Cameroon in my watch list. But when I check my watch list, I don't find this thread despite someone have replied to this thread.

~~

So, where's the problem? if it's need to be cleaned manually by removing the unnecessary thread in my watch list or uncheck "watch this topic" while replying, it's not friendly for me.

The first topic that appears on your watch list was the last one that received a new post, and so on. It's not just adding and seeing. Furthermore, it only appears in the list if the post was made after you last viewed the topic. Additionally, this is the list of topics that have been answered since the last time you visited them.

If you want to see the list of all the topics you are watching, you have to click on the Edit watchlist option.

From this list you can select topics for observation. Every time you respond to a topic, it automatically enters this list. Then it's a question of organization, of "visiting" all these topics, so as not to have a huge list of topics to read.

Isn't it easy to use? It's one of the best functions the forum has. I can say that 90% of my browsing is done based on my watch list.
Let's try.

This is my watch list by default, I never add it manually.

Watchlist is one of oldest forum features.
I don't understand why anyone would not use the watchlist. You can configure the watchlist to be exactly the same as "show new replies to your posts" by configuring your posts to be auto-watched and adding your posted-in topics to your watchlist. After this is done, you can unwatch topics that you don't want to see.

Start with forum watch list to personalize your experience. If you are not satisfied with forum watch list, you can use third party tools like Telegram bot or Loyce.club notifications.
Code:
Edit watchlist | Watch board | Add posted-to topics to watchlist | Add notify-enabled topics to watchlist
If you customize your settings to ignore a board or delete in the watch board, topics in that board will be disabled in your Watch list too.

Basically, when I enter the forum, I click on my watch list, choose a topic that has received responses since the last time, read the topic (I will respond if necessary) and return to the watch list.

I find it difficult to find a simpler and more efficient method than this. Much better than having an endless list of topics in my browser favorites.

That's exactly how the Watch feature works, it's like bookmark. For me too Watchlist and 'Show new replies to your posts' is entry point for me to bitcointalk.

But in addition to watchlist another great feature is notify, although name suggest you will receive an email notification every time when someone post in this topic but you can use this to bookmark your favorite topics and these topic will appear as a list in your profile  in Profile -> Notifications and Email -> Current Topic Notifications

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=notification

and your topics will appear like a subscription list

For me that's exactly like a bookmark and you can get back to it anytime, irrespective of new or unread-replies. In Watchlist topic will not appear if there's no new reply.

I'd second what @mk4 suggest, even this forum have watchlist but it doesn't look friendly to use.

What you intend, already exists on the forum, is what you find in all the topics on the forum. When you enter the topic, at the top of the first post on the page you will find the following:

When you click on "watch", the topic enters your watch list, and whenever a new post appears since the last time you saw it, the topic appears in your list.

To access the watch list, simply follow the following link in the forum header:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=watchlist

EDIT:
Of course, if you want to save a specific topic, so you never lose it regardless of how much time passes, saving that topic in your browser's favorites is the solution.

Sometime I choose to give merit to the thread, so whenever I want to read it again, I can just check my merit sending stats.

Another suggestion is you can create a thread in Archival and then add the thread you want to read there.

The easiest is to just use your browser's bookmark feature; and maybe just sync bookmarks(mobile+desktop) by using your browser's login+sync feature(Chrome and Firefox has this, not sure about Brave).

Unfortunately we can't expect Twitter-like features for a forum software that's more than a decade old.

If this is the reason why you can't go back to every thread you made then you can just click the watchlist here on the forum.
Once you click it, It should show all active threads where you made a thread or post.

A general way to bookmark a post or thread: First, navigate to the post or thread you want to bookmark. Next, press Ctrl + D or click the icon on the right side of the address bar in your browser. Then, a dialog box will appear where you can name your bookmark and select the folder you want it saved in. Lastly, click the Done button.

It may vary depending on the browser you are using.

I don't quite use the bookmark feature of twitter or i dont know how it works, if you just want to save or get notified via email when a certain thread get a reply, you can click the "notify" feature in the upper right of the thread. Or just the telegram bot mentioned above and use the "Tracked topics" for the same purpose, only via telegram instead of email.

You can bookmark a thread like X does but you can use the notify tab to get notification on when new are done on the thread. You can find this tab right at the top of each thread.

You can also archive the post or thread, here is a thread on how to do that https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guide-best-way-to-archive-bitcointalk-and-other-webpages-5224177

Move this topic to meta, it doesn’t have any relation with wallet software
