Anyone experiencing an insane number of bots visiting your faucet? I have my faucet to 0 satoshi per claim and I'm still getting over 200 visitors (in bots)? I have a relatively new faucet too. Any idea what is happening?
Certainly it was the act of one person using bot to drain the faucet balance, no one people playing bitcoin faucet without getting the rewards.

It's a new faucet and couple hundred are visiting every hour. The people don't show up on google analytics either.

The problem isn't bots claiming, it's bot visiting. I get hundreds of bot visits in a hour and that doesn't sit too well with a free hosting plan.

Are you sure they are bots? maybe hundreds random people come to faucet? Why do you even run faucet with free hosting, with or without bots, people will come to your faucet, and they don't want to see that host limit is exceeded

Why do not you use a paid hosting service ? as a faucet owner, you are already paying money in this site, then it is reasonable to get a good hosting plan because traffic is what will get you some revenue from ads.

If anyone wants a cheap host/domain, PM me
cheap = less than a dollar/year for host and domain together
I don't post here because links with ref are not allowed

I think the suspek is thebot where you can found those bot for faucet.. so if you want to prevent bot in your faucet better to increase the security like put a login with email details before they can claim or you can increase anti bot like fun media and add 123 anti bot and add some other trick to confirm that they are human because many people right now are releasing bot like imacros or coin collector..

The best way against bots are Honey Pots.
Create 2 Honeypots with dynamics ids behind an image or outside logical page and catch them.

Also your form, fields und submit-button should be dynamically.

how do you know it's bots?
Grin do you think that people would claim faucet with zero balance?

They are claiming? -Some people don't read the prizes
They are just visiting? You can earn traffic from rotators(from where come the traffic?), other sites wich don't removed your link since you lowered to zero

Would it be illegal to create a fake faucet to attract bots, but the fake faucet would contain unresponsive scripts.

Prize is set to 0. Bots still come until they take up all the webhosting's cpu.
I think bots is still coming because they have not yet detected that your reward per claim is now 0. When the one who is operating those bots will find that you have 0 reward he will stop sending bot traffic to your site and may shift towards another faucet. Bots are just headache for facuet owners with also no profit in running because adnetwork pays really low these days.
