Sounds like older Electrum version isn't compatible with FreeType which used by CentOS 7.

But since Electrum 3.3.4 work properly, all you need to do is use Electrum 3.3.4. I don't see any advantage from using older version of Electrum.

Can you explain exactly WHY you want/need to have version 3.2.x?

If the AppImage for the latest version (with the patches for known bugs/vulnerabilities works), why do you want to install an older version? Huh

I am not familiar with CentOS but you shouldn't use older versions and any version older than 3.3. can no longer connect to Electrum servers due to previous incidents with phishing messages.
The message is also posted on the official download page on Electrum.

Warning: Electrum versions older than 3.3 can no longer connect to public servers, and must be upgraded. This is in order to prevent user exposure to phishing messages. Do not download Electrum from any another source than electrum.org.

I wanna install Electrum 3.2.x in Centos 7. How can I do?
I tried methods written on https://electrum.org/#download
but I got this err msg "undefined symbol: FT_Get_Font_Format".

I can run only AppImage version of 3.3.4.
I am looking for the similar one of 3.2.x but I cannot find.  Undecided
