it's free for site owners and allows people on mobiles access the site easily.
I'm not going to post my experience but I've used this on a couple of sites and can vouch for it. Currently if you search google play for bitcointalk there seems to be an app that may or may not be a phishing attempt.
tapatalk do a pretty cheap custom app too.
alternatively look at forumrunner.
I run a decent sized forum and am willing to share privately the details/pros/cons etc.
