I think you need to report it to the authorities to find out who are the people behind this scam exchanger. Because they just repeat it over and over again if you do not take action. So you should immediately go to the authority involved in these cyber crime cases so that they can take action on your problem. Because I saw that this exchange is still alive today and it continues to victim people.

There are quite many trusted services out there that trade PayPal to bitcoin and another different payment method that is available like localbitcoin and coinbase. It's sad that the transaction is irreversible. Better if you make a various research about the website that scammed you first, $1200 is quite a large amount. If I'm in your position in that scenario, I would make a suspicion on the part that they are asking for another transaction because you sent the wrong amount. It's sad that this kind of modus is still ongoing.

I suggest that you move this topic into Scam Accusations to avoid deletion.

If you are not still familiar here in this forum, The move button is located in the bottom right of the thread.

Unfortunately, these types of experiences are quite common, making deals with sites of doubtful reputation is not advisable, on platforms such as LocalBitcoins the good thing is that there are serious people who have flawless and deep marks it is highly likely that you will receive your money, in that sense, Centralized Exchanges have an advantage, because internal backups confirm transactions immediately.

I'm so sorry for your lost OP, you should take that as a lesson until the very end to do some research first before engaging into something so shady. $1,000 is quite a lot of money. I'm glad you saw this forum so that if every time you have a question you can go directly here and ask what you want to know all about cryptocurrency.

Kupid, This was the page i found here from 2015 after i sent my money.   https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/instant-exchange-1052082. I was stupid for sending everything, just plain stupid and they had a convincing website.
That was different domain than you are telling you use to trade.  The post is too old so there is also a chances that exchange for that long time will close already so take it as a lesson .and if you check carefully  the feedback given to the OP you will get an idea what thier service would be and he is potential scammers way back then .

UPDATE 11/3/19:   I was creating soo many aliases on Facebook after they kept deleting me instant exchange deleted their Facebook page. They have officially deleted their phone number from their web page so no one can physically contact them to interact. They still have their old Facebook page from 2013 so i will keep posting there. They must be ready to run off with ppl's money again because thats what they do, when they max out what they can steal they delete everything and start over. They use either the same name or similar like i seen with the same url info instantexchanger, instant-exchange.com and numerous others.  After digging a little deeper i found out they have been scamming different ways since 2013. One story from this post in 2014  from localbitcoins https://muut.com/i/localbitcoins/fraud:instantexchange-scammer on a Paypal charge back. Just a shame no one can stop these scammers who can go on for life stealing and getting away with it. I can't specify enough to anyone  about to use an exchange, do your homework and research, research, research. Look for a real phone number, physical address, how long have they been around, read other reviews on the net rather then go only off their website. Send a small amount first and see if it goes through. Had i done that, i would maybe have lost $40 instead of $1200.

reading your story clearly the first time I was quite concerned that you could get this. is there no better way to communicate so that what you experience can be resolved? I myself have never used instantexchange.net so I can't find out what the solution is there if you experience something like you. I am only concerned that you can experience this because such treatment is not commendable and hopefully this can help others not be able to experience like you. I hope there are colleagues who can help after reading your problem.

Thank you for your kind comment. I know i'll never get my money back, but what concerns me is their website is still active as we speak and they show all processed moneys coming in, so they are making a lot of money off poor unsuspecting ppl like me. They delete all negative comments on their sites so no where to alert ppl other then here and outside websites. I did file with the FTC and FBI online fraud dept, but right now many ppl are getting scammed and they know nothing can be done.
It's a good thing that you are warning others about a bad website. Yeah, the money is gone, but our mistakes make us wiser, right? They help to learn to be more careful next time. I was also scammed once, and although it was not a big amount of money for me, it was painful, but helpful in the future. It's a shame that these online fraud reports don't really do anything. When I got scammed, I did the same thing, and so did many other people scammed on that website, but nothing was done with it. The website got down shortly after the scam, though. And not fighting those who keep scamming others is not fair. Or maybe they are fighting, but there are just too many of these websites.

I agree Krypt, Thats why they milk it for all its worth and then start over with another website. I normally research things thoroughly but this time i let my guard down. I found an older Facebook page they no longer use and thats where i found the bad reviews just like mine, appears after they milked ppl back in 2014 and ran away with their money, they started all over again with the current Facebook page they monitor. I have been creating many alias Facebook accounts where i load their Facebook up with warnings and pics of my account till a few days later they find them and delete and block me. At least i get a few days of warning ppl before they catch them and i will continue to do that.

Obviously, there's no way for the OP to get back his money because those bad actors from behind have been scamming people since 2015. What the OP is doing is giving us a fair warning about this exchanges so that no one from this community will fall for this criminals.

Just another expensive lessons to be learn here and sorry for your lost.

Hi, I'm new here after researching bitcoin exchange scams for info on instantexchange.net. I was lead here from an old post from 2015 on these ppl. I was scammed by these evil demons for $1200. I ended up making 3 transactions because they said i sent the wrong bitcoin amount and they needed to balance the amount. So i ended up sending them a total of $1200 which they promised to send to Paypal immediately. Of course they did not, they list it as processed but never sent. After reading about other victims, even if they show their money as sent it is never sent to their Paypal. I emailed their support from their website and no response, no surprise. I sent numerous messages on their Facebook page and they just ended up blocking me. Finally i used their What'sapp number that was also their number posted on their website contact page which is now taken off, +1 (530) 842-6608. They responded because they thought i was a potential customer but they changed their nice tune when they found out i was asking where my $1200 and I explained i was a cancer patient and needed that money, but was only told to stop begging. . They started to play the victim saying my bad reviews on Facebook, which they deleted immediately, cost them money so my $1200 was their compensation. The conversation lasted several days which i snap shot everything because they even tried the romance scam on me saying the $1200 for his heart. The lies just continued till they blocked me from What'sapp and completely deleted my account from their website. I wanted to warn as many ppl as i can.
