When I checked my Instawallet address on blockchain.info, the 0.5BTC that had been in there had disappeared. With the rising price and the RoR flaw, perhaps a hacker found the timing right to collect all those stray coins?

I hope it stays down.

Just think of all the bitcoins trapped at instawallet, unable to satisfy the surging demand at mtgox.

As many of you know instawallet has been down for several hours now. I consider instawallet a great workhorse of a wallet but would never store much in there.

But many users are concerned and they get redirected to a simple message down for maintenance check back soon and people have been. I compare it a lot to when my cats food dish is near empty, panic sets in and check the bowl, check the bowl.

They really should describe more about what is going on and expectations of return of service though in my opinion. To lock up people money with nothing short of check back later is pretty poor.

Anyone have more info it would be appreciated
