How to insure the miners against fire and theft? any company doing this?

Well, Miners it may be insured against fire and theft via specialized insurance policies. And these policies are typically offered by companies

that specialize in insuring valuable equipment and property. And some insurance providers that offer such policies include Chubb, Allianz, and AIG. It's important to compare coverage options and premiums from multiple companies to find the best policy for your needs.

If you are in the US, checkout https://www.section179.org/section_179_deduction/ as you can write off most of the cost of the miners. They are computers essential to the business. All other typical business expenses such as building, power, etc are deductible as well. That is of course another benefit to running the farm as a business Wink

For 1, only a business insurance would ever provide that. Of course that means you have to register your operation as a business.
After that it is just a matter of contacting different business insurance providers to see if they cover what is by all definition a data center and the equipment located there.
