I didn't get any messages about the 0.69 BTC tentative offer on this Casascius coin so I think I will most likely start an auction for it at 0.65 BTC and see if anyone is interested in bidding.  I need to get it and get pics and all that wonderful stuff first...

I also hear that people want raffles but I don't think this is the coin for it (I'd love to be wrong if there were enough folks to pull it off).  I'll toss something fun up to keep people busy with a different prize and see what happens.

If you did a classic 16 spot raffle with a ticket price based on a 0.65 btc price for the 0.5 btc cas i would buy at least 1 ticket and I think while it may take a bit to fill but it would.

I'm not sure I've seen any expensive raffles fill lately.  If there were actual interest in participating in a raffle at a 0.044 BTC entry cost, I'd do it.  16 people willing to gamble with 0.044 BTC right now seems like a tall order.  I also have a free gift for you Hhampuz...

Let's do 256 spot @ 0.00275 per slot, could maybe get that going  Grin
Great idea! Haven’t see one of those in a long time. I’d be a buyer of multiple slots. "Raffleception" seems to ring a bell? Grin

That seems like a lot of tracking work and a lot of network fees.  Could be a refund nightmare if it didn't fill up all the way.  I'm not sure I'd be happy with myself promising to take on such a venture...  I could maybe do 64 at 0.011 BTC if there was demand for it.  That's a pretty high price to pay for a raffle though.  I honestly don't think it would fill up.  I'm open to the idea.  I am all for selling it in a way that provides the most fun for everyone.  I just don't want to waste people's time and fees with a raffle that won't fill.

auction auction auction

I may start an auction sooner rather than later unless 1) someone buys this before I get the chance, or 2) people want to see a raffle and are willing to participate.

Has this coin been posted on the internet before? Like a picture of it? Some people prefer that the coins they buy don't have the address exposed.

I think we are all hoping you purchased this direct

Yeah, good thing there's not a list of all the Casascius address somewhere: http://www.casascius.com/fulllist.txt

LOL!  Love to see the logic bombs dropping.   Wink

No, I did not purchase this directly from Casascius.  The only coins I purchased directly from Casascius were his precious metal offerings.  The brass coins were all bought right here on this forum.  You could probably dig through my feedback ratings and find the sales, likely 5-6 years ago, if you were so inclined.  I can't imagine it would make that much of a difference to a perspective buyer, but if so I could always search my private messages and try to find it's source.  If I were a guessing man I'd say maybe monkeynuts or another reputable seller around here.

I have an intact brass 0.5 Casascius coin that I have been considering offering for sale on these boards for a while but haven't gotten around to doing so.  The coin is ungraded but has been kept in a coin capsule for many years now and is in good shape (will post pictures if there's interest).  I am not sure if any of these are currently available anywhere, so I figured this was a good way to dip my toe in and find out.  I'd offer mine for 0.69 BTC currently and am open to having others point out recent sales or available coins at a lower price.  Smiley
