I agree.  Especially when doing business or if in need for business advice.  I know that I have some upcoming planned purchases, and bouncing ideas off of more experienced collectors is very helpful.  So, please add me to the list.

I'd think "debates" or "productive arguments" that can turn disruptive may have to be held in their own channel, for which others can see but the majority of users will not be inundated with in the default room.

I like the idea to have a place where cryptocoins collectors can hang out.
It was handy sometimes to direct message people when needed.

I'd be interested in lurking again.

Don't know what kind of stuff went down, but hopefully those parties learn to liven up.

I'd like to get involved again, but there were definitely one or two people who caused too much aggravation. It was quite a shock as I went to visit yesterday and it had disappeared. Having the maximum amount of people keeps it interesting and the discussion varied, it shouldn't be a "little group" or it will be empty all the time..

I hope you have the time (or the people) to correctly enforce those rule. The "do not talk about it"-part sounds like a good idea as too much shit seeped from the chat into the forum and vice versa. I just hope it doesn't make the chat look like a elitist thing.

I'll be willing to join once it's open for business (and if you guys want to have me around).

Ha ha, the rule number 1 of CryptoCoins Slack is... you don't talk about CryptoCoins Slack.
So I guess this post is not needed.

For the ones of you who were part of the CC-Collectors Slack you may have seen it disappear from your teams list.
It has now been closed because there was a lot of arguing between some of the members.

However, when there was no argument it was actually a pretty good place to have a laugh, chat, trade, exchange, and show off physical cryptocurrency.
So I personally will miss it and I know some others do too, hence why I'm gauging interest before I go ahead and setup a new one.

This new Slack (CryptoCoins Collectors) will be invite only, and before you ask, will not be connected to the related IRC group, this will be only for Slack users.
There will be a couple of rules, I hate rules myself but seen how passionate and pissed off (at times) Bitcoiners and collectors can get (for very silly stuff) I suggest:

• The rule number 1 of CryptoCoins Collectors Slack is... You don't argue in public channels, you are free to do it via DM.
  If you do argue in a public channel you will be banned for 1 day, if you argue a second time you will be banned for a week, third time you are banned forever.
• The rule number 2 of CryptoCoins Collectors Slack is... You need to use your Bitcointalk username as the Slack username and first name field + your forum profile picture.
  No other personal information will be required.

If you'd like such a space for open discussion, trade, exchange while acting in a respectable and civil manner post here to express your interest.
Any suggestions are welcome, feel free to share your thoughts.

The Slack is already setup, if there is enough interest then I will ask to PM me your email address to get an invite.
I recommend to create a new email address that you don't use for any other service, just in case.
Do not PM until I update this post with "Invites are now open."

This may or may not not go ahead depending on interest.
