in the first 2 hrs after i posted this thread, i reliazed miners just care about NGzhang's machine, if the machine's good, the rest is not important.
2 days ago, i posted another pic that shows NGzhang said "miner's just a ball", and that post was deleted without a msg or pm.

well, u think NGzhang's thought has nothing to do with his products. but u'll see it's not correct.
when u find machine in ur hand made by NGzhang is a piece of junk
plz dont say that's because of "made in China"
the only reason is a guy who distain u made that and u bought it as a precious.

Lancelot is not a piece of junk!!! And i am stating this not because it is mine and it is precious but because of the pcb and components quality itself. The current bitstream (made by nghzang) is perfect also! I am not going to argue or convince you because i do not have to. Most important is that LANCELOT never stops mining and there are ZERO problems with my boards. Besides ngzhang loves his job and he always wants things to be perfect - personal opinion.

About his sayings - i do not know if they are true or not and i do not care. What he said was said to the other guy and it is not relevant to us.

allow me just translate the parts of his words.
NGzhang:(miners) living in the bottom of the BTC ecosystem.
NGzhang: LOL
NGzhang: miners have no dignity, no human rights
NGzhang: that's it.

Who cares.  Wouldn't be the first guy in the IT industry to be a complete wank.

I'll let the product speak for the man

Exactly - what sysop loves their end users?

Poor impulse control.
PS: I don't really think Nemesis reads or speaks a word of Chinese. He's the one trolling someone who spoke Chinese in the Avalon thread that I deleted after all.

Yes i was trolling. If you understand what trolling mean, you would see your failed logic.

I'm from HK. So i can read chinese fine. Apparently better than someone who claimed to natively speak and write Chinese.

Actually Hong Kong uses a different system... and different slang.... so don't go putting your land turtle in the water.....

I'm sure some of your politicians think worse of you, just because you live in their district.

I don't have any stake in the first batch of Avalons, just like I didn't in the first batch of Icarus, but I will say this...

#1) I did a transaction with ngzhang for the Icarus devices but due to the drop in Bitcoin price ($4.80 to $4.30) the night I was going to do it, I used international wire transfer instead the next day. I was unfortunately assessed a $50 fee. ngzhang was kind enough to provide the devices without extra shipping because of this.

#2) I later did a transaction with xiangfu for even more Icarus devices. When received, I had problems getting these additional ones mining properly with the others. Xiangfu provided me with helpful information on how to get them set up via OpenWRT, completely free of charge, and even showed me how he was previously using them.

I don't know much about BitSyncom, yet, but I have every reason to believe these guys just want to get their product out there and into the hands of miners. At this point, I'm not sure they really care what the community thinks, because they know that when they deliver their product the hardware will do the talking.

Worth noting, BFL congrats ngzhang for being first to market, and looks forward to the competition. Cablepair early on looks forward to the competitions as well. Later on, he even comments on how excited he is things are moving along.

The only question I have for the rest of you is, if even the direct competition is remaining friendly through this, then what the hell is going on with the rest of you? Give it a week for the orders to complete and let's see if this has legs. Then let's get ready for ASICMiner to bring their equipment fully online, BFL to finish up their processing and shippment, and cablepair to hopefully finish his project as well. We have a lot of things to be happy about, I'm not sure it really benefits us to be negative about EVERYTHING right now.

so just like OP stated he isn't part of the group the convo was posted so was in no way shape or form part of the convo so is just being a troll looking for attention and trying to start shit. anyone can take a couple parts of a full story and make it seem like something else was stated. thinks the OP should go try and troll on youtube or some other board and stop trying to be a post count whore by starting troll threads.

According to Prof. Kong, we are dogs, and it is not surprising if some mainlander thinks in THAT way. It is normal if they think we are "trolling" around, take it easy. Some people are used to lick their superiors' shoe, for them,NgZhang is just a piece of cake! According to some people's logic, he's apparently providing VIP service!

PS: It is quite astonishing for a forum moderator to make a mistake like this. Is he THAT careless? I doubt it.

I agree that the words of NGZ is rude, but you can't interpret his words without considering the context. And obviously, the beginning of the whole conversation is still hidden.

Just ask Apple to call you when iPhone 6 is available, and see what sort of reply you will get.

Because hes chinese? (killthelion) Chinese isnt used to pay and patiently wait. He and NGZ are fellow chinese in the same country where telephone cost nothing. Expecting to speak over the phone rather email isnt extreme.

Only u guys are used to being treated like dirt and now see that treatment as standard.

I dont see anything wrong with killthelion. Infact he wasnt being rude in anyway. NGZ on the other hand, acts like asshole. My bet is NGZ rather have oversea customers.

Anyway, by seeing this chat log you can clearly see another character of NGZ. Funny how he makes money by selling tools to miners.

I'm in the same country as Russell Crowe.  Does that mean I should have his phone number so I can talk to him when I buy pre-order tickets to his next movie?

Like it or not, it's not usual for customers to have access to the non-customer service staff in most businesses.  Avalon was never really intended to be a retail-type vendor marketing their product to get sales and providing direct customer service.  They're not trying to get as many sales as possible and gain market dominance - that's never been their vision.

You don't get to talk to the designers and the engineers when you buy a car - not even when you buy a fleet of cars.  You sure as hell don't get to talk to the design teams or upper management when you buy an Apple product.

Personally, I'm often amazed at the sense of entitlement to the ins and outs of a duck's ass being displayed by ASIC purchasers in general.  I accept that sense of entitlement stems from them feeling like they've been made unwilling investors in the various ASIC projects, but again - you don't get unfettered access to the design team or management at Apple just because you're a shareholder.

We've already seen a lot of Bitcoin enterprises reduce their interaction with this community and focus on providing support to their customers through other means.  As long as this community behaves like entitled, whiny brats, I see no reason why any Bitcoin enterprise should regard these forums as the best way to interact with their present or potential customers.

Do you always make dumb analogy?

As far as everyone knows, Avalon is backed by Yifu and Ngzhang. Do they even have customer service staff? Its all thro email and their website.

If you can read and understand the fcking chat log, you will see NGZ doesnt have to be rude and unprofessional.

Before NGZ went rude, he clearly said that he would only talk to someone over phone with >30 units preorder. Even worse, that guy was just probably a potential buyer, who wanted the first hand information of the availability of the 2nd batch. (Again, some conversation is missing, which looks really suspicious. Killthelion may have made an even more unreasonable request)

So please answer me directly, should we ALL leave our phone number to NGZ and ask him to call us ONE BY ONE when their 2nd batch is available? I wonder if there is any CS in the world would do it, especially when the demand obviously suppress supply.

I can understand the reason why ngz avoids giving out his number or contact person thro phone. China isnt as free as the Western see it.
However, his action and response can tell how he think about miners, simply put.

You still ask a question that isnt the focus point. LOL

Without miners there would be no Bitcoin or other alt cryptocurrency. Treating miners like that is truly idiotic.

That's indicative for the mining of other commodities. My dad, in his mid teens, and grandfather worked as coal miners in Belgium, putting in twelve hour shifts, exiting the hole literally covered head-to-toe in black soot, hence the term "black lung".

Moussa Koboura (12) searches for gold in pit that is 5ft deep

The above shown, bitcoin miners deserve the utmost respect, no matter where they reside on the chain.

I look forward the reading the entire translation of the provided screenshots, with at the very least a respected member stating either there's nothing to see here (move on), or somebody's eating more than Ramen noodles.

It's too long to translate. But the first message from killthelion is "Would you (I think he's talking to NGZ) like to note down my phone number, so you can inform me at that time?" There is no clue from the conversation suggesting what time is "that time". It may either mean the delivery of the first batch, or the availability of the second batch. As BitSyncom said none of these people have actually ordered, I guess killthelion was talking about 2nd batch availability but not 1st batch delivery.

NGZ and some other people said he would talk on the phone if the order is >30 units. Killthelion kept trolling and said NGZ was not respecting him, so NGZ said "just now some guy got a hallucination that i ever showed any respect to miners"

This is my comment: This "killthelion" thought NGZ should serve him like a VIP while he was only going to order 1-2 units.

In Chinese, we say "a man got insult from others because he insulted himself first". Here you can see what it means.

BS. I can read the whole conversation.
killthelion wasnt asking to be treated like VIP. WTF did you get this form? I can see why he want to contact NGZ because nobody knows who handles CSR. Avalon runs purely on website?

then NGZ clearly is disrespectful. Saying these ppl arent worth his fcking time. (typical Chinese business). He obviously think miners are dirtybags.

If BitSyncom is not lying, killthelion is just a potential 2nd batch customer with an intention to preorder 1-2 unit. WTF makes you think NGZ is obliged to call him when the 2nd batch is available? Should we all leave our phone number to NGZ and ask him to call us when the 2nd batch is available?

Because hes chinese? (killthelion) Chinese isnt used to pay and patiently wait. He and NGZ are fellow chinese in the same country where telephone cost nothing. Expecting to speak over the phone rather email isnt extreme.

NGZ made it very clear: he will talk to you over the phone if you order >30 units.

Life is short, play long
I couldn't care less, as an Avalon customer, what he wrote in that chat and what he might think about me (or his other customers).
The only thing that counts for me he delivers a good - in working order and as promised - product soon on my doorstep.
And how he does it I don't care.

People should contact Yifu / BitSyncom for questions regarding sales, not him anyways.

No disrespect to the Avalon team by all means, I'm just getting tired of all that wining of trolls and idiots that have nothing to-do all day on this forum...

+1 what jl2012 said. Basically, killthelion and co (another guy who was blocked on chat by ngzhang for trolling) is going around with an agenda of their own.

Inaba at this point would be swearing like mad now.  Roll Eyes

He's also almost right about miners living at the bottom of the ecosystem.

A cursory review shows that ngzhang is the sole technical advisor, customer service, and general salesman for the China region, and he is 'going crazy' from that. I'll have to spend some time making out head and tail from the longish conversation, though....

There's a couple of detractors in the conversation stating that ngzhang blocked them for trolling. I still do not see ngzhang's faults here.

tl;dr: nothing of significance here apart from the trolling. The drama is worse in the Avalon thread.

thanks RobertM, now that you posted the whole story, you have even less of an arguement.

tl;dr;

ngzhang: I'm not customer support, just because you purchased Avalon does not mean I need you answer your calls, I'm leaving, I got stuff to do and no time to deal with you trolls. ( none of these people ordered from Avalon ).

like on Bitcointalk, most Avalon supporters simply bought units from us, and Trolls spend all day trolling on the forum, China is no different, see this chat group log.

Without seeing the full context, we cannot know what is the intent behind his words.

Full translation below for the other conversations:

NGzhang: What do you mean by politeness?
/pig: Have the time to accept your phone call.
killthelion: The final product retailers should be in contact in this case
killthelion: Do you expect the Head Of Health Ministry to greet you when you go to a hospital?
killthelion: You guys are not making sense here.
/pig: (scowling face)

killthelion: You're just a seller; why are you so proud?
NGzhang: The lowest level in the ecosystem.
Who am I: (references out of context)( Why the long winded talk?)
/pig: Haha
3/4stick of cigarrete: Let me say something fair. It is not NGZ who're selling to you, the sales are done using the website. You'll need to visit the site to buy. NGZ has placed this bluntly, if you want to buy in large numbers you can contact him, otherwise please purchase through the website. This is analogous to (name of a shop here that I don't know)'s modus operandi, although the service is certainly not that good as (name of shop)'s.
NGzhang:LOL

(last Pic)
(photoshopped pic section) NGZhang:The lowest level in the ecosystem.
killthelion: You guys mine until your dignity is lost.
Who am I: If you think it's not high tech enough, then go and make one of your own.
NGZhang: That's correct
NGzhang: Mining makes you have no dignity, no human rights.
NGzhang: that's it.

Well, that certainly makes more sense now...

John, please don't lie, I am a native speaker and you are lying quite thoroughly.

In this line:(photoshopped pic section) NGZhang:The lowest level in the ecosystem.

It should be: Did someone experienced a hallucination that I ever think highly of miners?

Meaning: Did someone experienced a hallucination that I ever respected miners?

And I typed a (simplified) Chinese transcript of that line, go Google translate it if you don't believe me.

好像刚才有人出现了我曾经瞧得起矿工的幻觉?

Google Translate English:Just as someone I used to think much of the miners hallucinations?

John, it was not wise for you to play the game of word, really, it is not wise.

And other fellow Bitcoiners, it was said that:好問則裕,自用則小 Meaning that if you ask questions, you will be rich in knowledge, if you are opinionated, there are little use of you. (Yeah, I write traditional Chinese, I live in Hong Kong)

John, what a good translation.
ask some Chinese come here to tell  is that what he wanna say, dont play a game of words.
i know the whole story now, and i can post all screenshot here.
maybe the best way is anyone interested in this issue just try to find a Chinese friend to translate.

what makes me feel embarrassed is when i tried to say something for miners who bought or plan to buy AVALON machine.
why do they just keep silence?

I would trust John's translation a lot more. Just because your English is not so good. After two translations the meaning of the words would be definitely lost.

I believe I am producing the most accurate translation here, and I'm not playing a game of words. I am merely interested to show the exact translation as opposed to you who have a clear agenda here.

That said, most people here don't really care about what NGZhang's saying as long as he's producing a working product. You should see other ASIC manufacturer's - they even swear publicly. No one gives a damn as long as they're producing an actual product.

PS: I have no affinity with either ASIC manufacturer. I am a native speaker of Chinese and English, for the record, and I understand the meaning behind the phrases without machine translation.

Life is short, play long
I do have to admit that I find, especially in the Custom Hardware section, most users acting as idiots, trolls and manic depressed duchbags that needs some form of attention.
However, I do believe there are alot of miners which are just 'silent' readers, which time-to-time post a useful answer or ask a question.

In my opinion many users here (and specifically bitcointalk.org in general) too often doesn't leave their keyboard, and should go outside sometime to meet with real people instead of relating everyting by bits-and-bytes.

I really don't see where he's wrong?  Huh

Look at the threads in Custom Hardware. A lot of the miners or miners-to-be DO act like they have no dignity at all, repeating their master's words like biblical scripture.

He's also almost right about miners living at the bottom of the ecosystem. The system is inherently tiered.

The ones making money are the ones providing the tools of business. Exchanges, payment processors, hardware manufacturers.

Then you have the black market making money.

Then there's the BTCtalk Digital Goods Marketplace, a hive of scum and villainy selling illegally gotten invites and tokens and tickets and cards and anything else they could get their hack on.

Then you have the miners scraping for bits and pieces fighting like wild dogs for scraps of flesh.

And at the bottom in the BTCtalk Marketplace finally the ones trying to sell whatever junk they could find at yard sales and flea markets and in bulk rubbish. And failing miserably at that.

hmmm, maybe u r right.
i do see some miners in that way.
to u, they r just like flies. u can say anything np.
but to NGzhang, they r his customers.
do i need to explain more about my opinion?

all btc guys r swimming in the same pool, why someone has a feeling that he's more noble than the others?
Ridiculous!

Why don't you copy the whole conversation instead of cutting some quotes in the middle? No matter it is justified or not, there must be a reason for him to say "just now some guy got a hallucination that i ever showed any respect to miners"

i know someone will ask me this question
these msg comes from screenshots a QQ group( a software popular in China, like msn or ym)
i'm not in that group, so i saw these 4 pics just from an angry guy, who posted them in another group

i thought about his words for a long time
i also tried to imagine why he said so, it wasted my couple of hrs.
but suddenly i realized i dont need to think so much
a normal btc guy will never ever say these shit words, that's enough.

Maybe someone insulted him first, who knows? I don't personally know him but had some PMs and never felt insulted by him

do u respect NGzhang?
maybe u feel he's the same guy just like u and me who loves bitcoin and wanna take care of bitcoin.
but i'm very sorry to say u r wrong.
to NGzhang, miners just shit bugs living in the mud under his shoes.
