When I typed in "is the bitcoin" in the Google search bar, this is what I saw:

your first rookie mistake is to use "THE bitcoin"

anyone who searches for 'the' bitcoin obviously has no clue what bitcoin is, and thus the results are going to be skewed to the noob criteria of stupid questions

Let's see:

Suggested searches for "is bitcoin ...":

... mining legal
... legal
... mining worth it
... safe

Only slightly better. I guess most of people searching for "is bitcoin" don't have much knowledge of what it is.

For the logo, per https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=1756.0 , I think there's no trademark...

I don't think someone who puts his logo under PD would put the logo under trademark... (Correct me if I'm wrong)

If it's in the public domain then it can't be trademarked, as far as I understand.

Your country may be your worst enemy
The search results depend on the user!

If you want to have clear, unbiased search results, you must not use Chrome (uninstall it if you have it) and you need to block all cookies from the domain google.com

That's what I've been doing for years.

Is the Bitcoin dead? No.
Is the Bitcoin logo trademarked? Not sure.. - I gonna search this too!
Is the Bitcoin a good investment? Definitely!
Is the Bitcoin the mark of the be***? What does this mean?
Is the Bitcoin legal? Depend on where you live..
Is the Bitcoin going to crash? No. It will never crash - at least it will last for a few more years..
Is Bitcoin the future? The near future. Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency will last until a new invention came out. Probably another thousands of years..
Is Bitcoin the one world currency? Not for now. However, it could be in the future.
Is Bitcoin the future of currency? Same as my last answer.

The mark of the beast and one world currency, i have heard this brought up to me a bit when I talk about Bitcoin because I live in the very religious Bible belt (I myself am also religious) This is what they're referring to
"He (the false prophet) was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast (antichrist), so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666."

It is the fear that a one world currency would lead to having to be marked to spend, the best thing about this is that Bitcoin could not be it since it is decentralized and able to spend without any mark or way for them to force this. This would have to be a fiat from a government who can print and control it.
This part is new to me.
I knew there was something about the bible and people are talking about chip implants in their hand to use bitcoin and that that is somehow related. Didn't know, the bible is about a paying system.

It's coming for dat azz!  Coming to rip apart the fabric of the current economic and financial system in place, spell doom and gloom for the banksters, and ready to send Fiat based countries to their early graves.

Time for the BTC Apocalypse!

Thanks for the quote.

I understood why people would be searching it. Especially when you see this story: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/man-becomes-human-bitcoin-wallet-with-chip-implanted/ and know people may do this.

Assuming that search suggestions reflect the most popular search queries, it's interesting to see what the general public thinks of Bitcoin today. Some of the search queries seem reasonable and it seems that Bitcoin's comparison to ponzi schemes isn't going away anytime soon, but "mark of the beast"? Really? And what does it mean by "one world currency"? And why are so many people interested in the trademark status of the Bitcoin logo anyway?

I suppose if the logo is not trademarked anybody is allowed to freely use it or even to the extent of modify accordingly to the nature of their business. Last thing businesses want is legal lawsuit just because they use the logo indicating they accept bitcoin payment.
