I don't think Coinbase is responsible for your bank's fees...

Most banks charge a fee if they are forced to convert a foreign currency. So if you are sending dollars, and your country (and bank uses pounds), then you are going to get charged. Use a country specific exchange next time, there are plenty of UK exchanges like Coincorner.

ust happen to me i bought 863 $ in bitcoins to buy a A4 was charged 901 =34 $ in fees then i looked at my bank account three days later another 27 $ for INTERNATIONAL FEES... I thought the 34 for everything , this is why I would rather use Paypal or cash or CC not bitcoins
What exactly bitcoin has to do with this international fee that you are so angry about? This is Coinbase which is exploiting the situation here.
Coinbase is a 3rd party company, they are dealing with bitcoin but are not affiliated with it in anyway. It is why bitcoin was created in the first place.
To combat this kind of scenario when you have to pay horrendous fees like that. Blame Coinbase.

They also closed my account, and then I had .05 btc sent to one of my old addresses, and they are refusing to forward it to me.  Citing some BS that I transferred it out, but the TXID they gave me was from after they closed my account and is their internal transfer to their own accounts.  Such a lame company now.
Are you telling that they cannot be trusted. I am using it to store my coins and use it to for directbet and is there any rule than closes my account for doing so.Can you explain clearly why did they close your account in the first place.

It wasn't a wire fee, it was an international fee because they initiated a withdrawal from my account to a foreign account after I made a buy order on their website.

Same thing to me it never happen before if i had known i may not have done it or could have at least adjusted my bank account for it,, if we don't know were they are trading why do we pay ...? ...do a search you will find pages and how they tell you pretty much SO talk to your bank i probable be told the same thing and have my account closed and you know what i don't give rats ass like there all there is i mean they pissed me off ..

But how much have you paid for this "International Fees" ?

I think that you are referring to this one: https://community.coinbase.com/t/international-transfer-fees-on-us-purchases/13358/5

Although there are many negative news about coin base service, but i never experienced such in reality from coinbase.
i have been using coinbase for a long time and never faced any issue of such type.

Not all have the same experience but from what I see here in forum people have many issues with coinbase even though they have promising service.

There are many bad reviews for the coinbase's service(s) and one of them can be their exchange which sometimes sucks.

How much were you charged for the "International fee"? Better contact the support but they respond with a delay but better late than never.

As far as I know they don't have an official account here where we could send a PM to them or write a reply in their ANN.

I was hit with an international fee also because of 2 coinbase buys.  They totaled about 100 dollars or so, and I had no idea I would be charged them until they just showed up in my bank account.  Coinbase ended up refunding them, but said they wouldn't do it again.  How the hell am I supposed to know if they are charging my account to a foreign bank?

IM ware of all that and this INTERNATIONAL FEES was the first it ever happen to me , I'm not the only one in the US and it all started in DEC 2016 you can do a search on the WEBB INTERNATIONAL FEES- coin base and get pages about this issue ...coin base told some talk to your bank they even made a post according to some that said they would pay back any INTERNATIONAL FEES and took it down within hours and now refuse to pay it

I know i won't get it back and also done with them there have been other issue i had with them ..I think what did it for me is they no longer trade in the US ......and didn't warn US ....

sigh it seems coin base set up shop in the UK to avoid US laws or officially made there US base  a UK home base to avoid US laws and taxes, I see the US hasn't stop that shit yet ...so much for trumps BS .. sorry im little upset because it almost over drew my bank account if i had known like anyone i would have adjusted for it ..

I was just hit with a INTERNATIONAL FEE from my bank becasue of coin bases miss judgement I blame coin base this time , for not informing it customers of the move and there is nothing on there site that says any thing about the move and any kind of info i could find about INTERNATIONAL FEES or a warning any place , I bought 863 $ IN BTC to by a A4 i could only pay with BTC or money wire which my bank doesn't do for over seas this is why i hate more and more paying with bitcoins but will mine coins it's not so bad and i get it faster with less BS if I mine and sell , so now i have to opt to bank transfers with no fee buying bit cons from coin base and it takes 5 days but if i sell it only takes 2 to 3 days for the cash to pop in my bank . i was never charged a INTERNATIONAL FEE by my bank till now becasue of coin base using them to instant buy bitcoins and they basally don't care is there repose, to others who had no idea like me , I don't know yet,how what they will tell me , i put in a ticket asking why but found kinds of info on the Webb, it just started and they told no one to expect it   .... so a warning don't trade with coin base in the US unless you like being charged hidden fees they don't tell you about and you find out later on and you knew nothing about becasue they didn't tell you it might happen which never happen before becasue they now do instant transfer in the UK for US customers and your bank will charge you a INTERNATIONAL FEE in the US ....it's not your banks fault either, if i had known, i know i would have waited the five days or cancelled the buy and look some place else like VirWoX were i know all the fees i'll be charged upfront from past instant bitcoin buys with no hidden cost and they warn you of any possible INTERNATIONAL FEE, it cost but there is no misleading, so far.
