China's Internet giant Baidu has announced the next step in its Blockchain integration as a protocol to reduce the energy consumption in its operation, according to a report by China. News Weekly reported on June 3.

'Super Chain' - Baidu's new blockchain protocol

Scientists at the department head  Blockchain  at Baidu, Xiao Wei, revealed the protocol  ' Super Chain (Super chain) '  at a local conference on the weekend.

This move comes after the growing number of Baidu's e-money direct tests, which launched Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) in January this year.

'Super Chain' can "insert and remove consensus mechanisms to address current energy consumption," Wei explained, and also "compatible with Bitcoin  and  Ethereum development systems  ."

The move of Baidu and Chinese managers

In April, Baidu launched a Blockchain-based product since implementing BaaS, the product as a digital rights management platform.

When big Chinese businesses were attracted by Blockchain, and even President Xi Jinping had declared that " want to develop economy can not be ignored Blockchain, " the authorities of the country is planning strict management regulations. Last month, Beijing announced the "standards" to be launched by the end of 2019.
