This was just an approach, Only time will tell if those mega-data centers collecting information of everybody and everything are really useful.

We must learn to care for the planet and other species as guests that we are, Only then can we have really more possibilities Wink

This is a very complicated question and the answer can be: Yes and NO...

First of all you have to keep in mind that Internet is still an option! Imagine, how be the world when internet will be limited as the TV or radio? Smiley

We all know that most of popular IT companies in the world are: Microsoft, Apple, Google, Yahoo, AOL, Facebook, Youtube, Skype and Amazon. But, do you know that this companies have a special system of monitoring every activities that your are doing while you are online?

I highly suggest you to watch Citizen Four, the movie for Edward Snowden and see how this system is working. Don't forget to sing out of your Google and Youtube account next time when you open your browser and start to search for something. Cheesy

It is certainly an issue to reflect and limit the use of everyone within the services offered in the meantime the issue of privacy is defined in general terms without mentioning the activity of these services in our equipments at least, Crypto should be a pioneer in defining this fact to the rest of the Internet otherwise do the same kind of things which would pass up such an opportunity.
If the result is definitely accept losing privacy then people must be prepared to do this,  if instead it is decided that privacy is a universal human right then would have to reconsider the fact of using Internet until everything is defined more clearly, A very complicated task.  Cheesy

Exactly.

The only reason for needing anonymity is that you feel endangered by not being anonymous.

The only reasons why you feel endangered are: 1) there are crooks who are going to harm you if you are exposed; 2) you are a crook who will be punished if you are exposed.

Stand up and be the man or woman that you are.

Smiley

Or maybe because privacy is human instinct?

Try shitting and wiping your ass while there are 5 cameras in the bathroom.

Or doing other disgusting things in the bathroom.

Privacy is there for a reason, it's not just about criminals, but about basic human nature.

+

What if you store some kind of value that you want to keep private? Like bitcoins?

So let me update your list, because its seems very narrowminded:

1) there are crooks who are going to harm you if you are exposed;
2) you are a crook who will be punished if you are exposed.
3) doing something private perhaps to or with your body that you dont want others to know
4) hiding wealth or personal things that are only for you

Note 3, and 4 are perfectly legal, so, yes, privacy is very important. If you somebody doesnt feel privacy important then they can stick a camera up their ass and provide 24/7 footage of their anus for the rest of the world.

+1,  Points 3 and 4 are really a good opinion of that is necessary the privacy.

On second thought even in real life almost nothing is anonymous........

We are like ants with a camera above now Grin...

The mere fact of asking the question is longer worthy to be taken into account regardless of the genre the rest, Either way the test whether a man or a woman is perhaps too dependent on many different factors related to facts privacy. Standing or sitting is just a fact of comfort, And I think definitely the reasons that you mentioned are not the only reasons why almost people seek certain anonymity. Smiley

Well, yes. It is very hard to defend anonymity, and also a lot of many trojans and worms are spreading around. Those pesticides make a real problem - you can loose all data in your computer  Wink

Alternatives to it?  Grin

If you can get your neighbourhood to use it, it would do you good.

Interesting,
However it use  wifi technologies, I wonder if this will be very safe.

It's pretty safe, and unknown. It's what a real darknet should be, not TOR kind of stuff.

Is there really anything that is anonymous these days?  The government can get into almost anything if they really want to.  People think BTC is anonymous, but if someone really went to track down where a payment can from or went to, they could, it only takes time.  So did you really think you had privacy to begin with?

Exactly, You have  the point  mentioned:

Another example.......

You can access to blockchain.info for example and do a zoom to a map with the ubication of each running node of BTC with the technology of big corporations together. Is Funny it? Cheesy

It is that humans like spy everything we spy the moon, The cosmos, Animals ourselves what is the purpose based on a different approach nobody likes to feel watched at least all time...........
Deviating a little from the subject that higher race has been studying us for a long time, maybe we do not know their laboratories but if they do studies on us as we do with animals that do not like us.
A little vigilance is necessary perhaps to  maintain a certain order of the things but perhaps we could revisit this approach lead to a better understanding of who we really are and what we can expect from us as human beings. And the funny thing is that nothing really  escape to surveillance neither Internet. I can not say that internet has brought a complete end to the anonymity. What it has just done is being able to provide a better platform. Without even the internet in place, we are always  a way out and just be crazy on several things. People will always find the way to stay anonymous even with cameras and internet everywhere. Human beings are a special race that is always up for greater things. It is not easy to make a surety on this issue at the moment.
