Intersango owes users thousands of bitcoin. Patrick Strateman embezzled 10s of millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin from thousands of users. Hundreds are owed 1 BTC or more. He also sold the forked coins of these users. I'm a co-founder of Intersango and I went through hell and back to bring the matter to light. I'm posting this here because many people who used Intersango were regular posters on bitcointalk.

If you or anyone you know used Intersango please share this with them. I have written up a detailed account of what happened here: paypeoplepatrick.com

It was 11 years ago when many issues and accusations surfaced against this Intersango exchange, I also have no idea if this exchange located in Europe still exists, but I think it doesn't exist now.

In these times a bitcoin was still relatively cheap, why are you one of the victims of this exchange for the past 11 years?

It is undoubtedly a severe issue that users of Intersango were defrauded of their Bitcoin by one of the co-founders. It's essential to do your research and verify the authenticity of the claims before taking any action. If you or anyone you know was affected by this, you might want to consider seeking legal advice to determine if there are any options for recovering the lost funds.
I think you didn't read it properly or probably misunderstood it, but what OP wrote clearly says that he was one of the co-founders of the company that scammed people and stole and sold their Bitcoins for personal gains. He isn't one of the victims who lost money in the incident but he wants the victims to read a complete report about the issue that he has set up on a website.

What I personally feel is that OP is simply using this trick to get some visitors to his own website and probably monetize the web page that he created for some reason. He will most probably just change the domain name and rename the website later when there is another story he can use.

I used the exchange I guess probably in 2011 maybe 2012. I do remember it closing down but I don't think I had any BTC  on the exchange at the time. I  generally did selfcustody so that's less of an issue for me.

Why does your website ask for a password right at the start, with no other options available? If your partner or co-founder has stolen users' bitcoins, and if you really are trying to bring the matter to light, why not make the website open for general public to check and see? This doesn't really give good vibes.

Are you sure? I am seeing no one is complaining about this exchange. I am not seeing any scam accusation raised by anyone. Moreover, there is no topic on this exchange in 2022/2023, I am sure; double checked.

It seems Intersango was famous by 2011 to 2013; later on, there were less discussion on this exchange.
Here is a sample:
I think I bought my first on an exchange called intersango for about 17 british pounds.

I just spent a lot of time on https://www.courtlistener.com and a few other court document sites and could not find anything about the case. Do you have the case number for what you site on your website.
Working through a tablet to a desktop so there is a chance I'm just missing it.

But, in the end it really does not matter. A lot of people have taken the money from exchanges they ran and walked away. Almost none have had any real consequences happen to them.
Reading about them is always interesting to see what they are saying about it.

I checked some threads (thanks to ninja tools), it detected that this exchange was closed in 2013 or earlier. I don't think it's difficult to uncover everything that happened (in your blog post) in those years here, where this forum is probably the place that most accommodates the bitcoin community. Somehow you just appeared 10 years later, where most likely your exchange users have long since left.

Your a co-founder you say! That means you were both feet deep in the running and operations of the company right?
I don't know the part you might have played in all this but, I'll like to think that, your at an end to whatever is owed to the Intersango as well and I this might be some way of having to reach the then users of the site with not just having Patrick Strateman to pay up what is owed to its investors, it would be quite noble of you and some good way for a start.

Not except there are other means to which your excluded from what went wrong in the operation.

So who amongst the co-developer of Intersango? care to share your name? As far as I can remember, there are 3 names behind this project, Patrick Strateman AKA Patrick Moseley, Carole Strateman and Amir Taaki.

Also you might want to refresh your memory here: Your police reports needed. Patrick Strateman - Buddy wants his Bitcoins. Or you can add that to your website.

Did you mean Patrick Stratman aka phantomcircuit? Who was an old developer and stole some bitcoin about 8 years ago? Also, the Intersango code has not been updated for several years, and therefore advising users to avoid that site will not change anything, as the code is old and most of us have not heard of that platform. Huh

Or is there something new about that case?

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Never had of the exchange, but according to some posts on Bitcointalk, it seems it was an old exchange. The website is inaccessible right now, so am not sure when it went offline.

I think what you want to do to write a full scam accusation including all the details and proofs on what happened

Use this board ---> Scam Accusations

and this guide ---> Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly)
