What they are saying, but not saying is... We want more transactions on ETH, but we are not getting it, now we want to copy cat Bitcoin
in creating a decentralized gambling app, like Satoshi Dice, that would spam the network with worthless transactions, so that the stats
would look much better. .... Am I getting that part right?
You seem a little Jaded. Are you a maximalist?
I used to be too. Until I started making stuff with Ethereum. It's just more fun than Bitcoin, as a developer.
Anyway, you call SatoshiDICE spam. But we think it was an important part of Bitcoin.
It paid most miners fees, and really drilled the network...pushing Bitcoin to its limits, early...at a time when there weren't many Tx.
Networks need that kind of testing. Networks need blockchain gambling to get strong. Especially in the early days.
The great thing with Ethereum is its different. It's not a BTC clone. It has Smart Contracts.
So you can do really cool stuff to extend the experiment SD started.
