I would go for EarthCoins, the intro and promotion on this coin were/is superb, when this hits exchanges you could earn some good $ if you started mining now.

I would go for Feathercoins. Devcoins and Dogecoins are becoming more and more popular and they still cheap to invest in.

Maybe look into buying some Feathercoins. I can see it becoming the UK's Bitcoin. It's still really cheap and you can buy it on Bittylicious.

I'd go for Anoncoin and Unobtanium, mainly due to the fact that there will be limited supply. 4.2 million and 250,000 respectively. Adds exclusivity in my opinion  Grin

It's hard to trade them unlike most of the other currencies.

It is actually easy to trade XRP, but since all of the trading is done within Ripple's distributed exchange (with the exception of on Kraken), it isn't very visible to the outside world.

I am quite fond of using Ripple's Bitcoin bridge to spend currencies I hold within Ripple anywhere that accepts bitcoin. All I have to do is enter the BTC amount and recipient's Bitcoin address within the Ripple client and then pick the currency I want to pay with. Ripple automatically performs the trade and sends bitcoin to the recipient's Bitcoin wallet. What could be easier?

If you broadly define mining as "exchanging computing power for coins," you can "mine" Ripple's XRP as well. However, instead of just hashing to secure a blockchain, your computing power is assisting scientific research to fight AIDS and Cancer.

Visit www.ComputingForGood.org to get started. Note: you have to either earn or acquire the account reserve of 20 XRP before any will show up in your wallet from the giveaway. That first lump deposit might take a few days if you have a run of the mill computer, but after you clear the account reserve you should get a daily XRP payout.

There's a lot of speculation about Ripple and the way the coins have been distributed puts a lot of people off, but many talk of it as THE crytocurrency of the future. If you can spare a couple of hundred dollars, it's got to be worth buying some coins as a long term investment. It's hard to trade them unlike most of the other currencies.

As for Dogecoins... wouldn't spend a penny on them or waste a watt of electricity mining as it's all a big joke (or so it seems).

I wouldn't get involved with Ripple, Litecoin and Novacoin are other good ones as well.

Hey Guys

Started reading a lot into coins from June, purchased 2 bitcoins then which where about £60 each, converted into PPC (Peercoin)

Mining various coins now

Dogecoin
PPC
Quark
Emer

Very small tie miner, got hold of a few Red Furys from buyahash using PPC, well worth the investment, hope to get them in January.
