Calling Bitcoin might be very strange around some folks, Bitcoin has grown wide but then people are still not bold enough to accept it.
Most people are not well exposed to this, so they feel everything about bitcoin is nothing but a scam.
I think the best way to advocate about something is to tell them the truth, keep telling them until they embrace it firmly.
People are not bold enough to accept bitcoin because of government, and government is building panels to abolish Bitcoin. The people that do not accept bitcoin according to op no hate Bitcoin. I support you people hate Bitcoin because scam the time will come Bitcoin will be known to every body

It is probably more effective if along with what you will say, you will also give your friends or loved ones certain Bitcoin-related tokens, perhaps a book on Bitcoin or some Bitcoin-designed apparel or merchandise or why not some physical Bitcoin coins or bills? As a matter of fact, your friends or loved ones would be much more excited if you are giving them physical Bitcoin coins or bills which are loaded with a little amount. They will value it even more. In this way, perhaps their curiosity or interest will be doubled.

Bitcoin ATH has been used by many online media to provide knowledge to its readers, so I think the level of public knowledge about bitcoin may have increased a lot more than in previous years. Bitcoin managed to hit a record high 2.5x higher than 2017 ATH in 2021, so exposure to information about bitcoin is well known now.

I'm not going to offer lessons about bitcoin to people who haven't asked about bitcoin, that's great for me because I honestly don't have enough time to teach them in detail. I will only tell them when they come and ask because I think they are people who really want to know a lot about bitcoin.

Telling everyone about Bitcoin may be done every time, but exactly it may be more special when uttering in special day.
Btw,  nowadays, some people have given Bitcoin as a gift.
But actually, there should be some reasons and also conditions if we want to really give them Bitcoin as a gift.
the first thing is that it is better to give to someone who exactly knows already Bitcoin or at least open minded with Bitcoin and crypto. because sometimes, some people are still closed and not accept Bitcoin in any cases. So giving Bitcoin gift that kind of person will mean nothing.

And if we are going to tell someone about Bitcoin or crypto generally, it is better to tell about all things that we know, not only about its hype or popularity and also chance to get very big profits by investing in Bitcoin. because not all people are ready with the condition of losing money even only in few times. because we know that Bitcoin price is very volatile. And for those who are new and not ready enough with the risks, will feel that Bitcoin is something dangerous.

Introducing someone to Bitcoin can easily turn out to be the worst gift possible. There's so many things that can go wrong - they can get hacked, they can invest in shitcoins due to inexperience, they can experience a large crash and panic sell. Gifts should never come with risks that can cause serious harm.

And you can talk about Bitcoin at any time of the year, why use holidays as an excuse to preach about your hobby?

The best gift from someone that introducing bitcoin is being able to lead people to become better at understanding and using Bitcoin. it's true if not everyone understands and knows well what Bitcoin is and we as people who have contributed to the world of Bitcoin need to provide a good understanding. provide a good understanding that includes the benefits and risks that can be obtained in it so that people can also be more careful in managing their assets. the more people who know Bitcoin and other cryptos, the better the development of bitcoin and we can get the benefits too.

In fact, I don't think this kind of gift is for everyone.

Yes, I agree, Bitcoin is not for everyone. Some people will never understand it or believe in it, and that is fine. During the 1990s, many people did not believe in the internet, email, smartphones, social media, or digital photography. Today, they do not believe in AI, smart homes, self-driving cars, or cryptocurrencies.
That does not mean we should stop trying to educate and enlighten people, or prevent them from becoming aware of new technology and innovations that could change our world. For instance, I myself learned about Bitcoin from my friends and colleagues. When I realized how the technology works and how many benefits it could bring, it just clicked with me. I knew I had to learn more, and I am glad I did.

I don't think this kind of gift is for everyone.
I agree with this and I think that if you give some gift you need to choose wisely and choose those people who are worthy to be given.
For example, if you introduce This forum to everyone for sure many people want to register but only a few can survive, in the world of bitcoin if you bring everyone only a few can survive too.
Cause we all know that we are humans and our greediness is on our side,
some people covered by their readiness and sell their bitcoins even if the price will drop for sure they will quit.
That's why you need to be choosy sometimes.

Give Bitcoin as a Christmas gift if you are short on time. Bitcoin is perfect for last-minute Christmas gifts.
In the case that your contact does not have a Bitcoin wallet and does not have an address to which you can send bitcoins, the easiest way is to generate it for them and write a seed phrase on paper or in a Christmas card. Even though it is generally not a good idea to trust someone else with creating your wallet, in this case it doesn't matter since you are the one giving the wallet as a gift. To do this, you may need to write down the steps required to access the Bitcoin wallet.

I agree that this is a great idea, but I don't think it's enough to just give someone a bitcoin and create a wallet.
That friend needs to be taught how crypto works and also explain the importance of patience and waiting.
If he hears that the price of bitcoin has dropped and he sell everything in a panic, then we haven't really helped him much and he will probably never return to the crypto world.
In fact, I don't think this kind of gift is for everyone.

So I am not interested in convincing anyone for now but I am ready to guide people who is eager to learn more about bitcoin,
That's good of you, because it's not everyone that will have the motive to transfer a knowledge of Cryptocurrency to someone who is a novice in crypto sphere, to impact the wisdom of to a beginner is more preferable for someone that is over interested to acquire the knowledge, because educating someone who is not interested into cryptocurrency is like forcing yourself or a horse to drink water in the river, it's good to educate somebody who have passion on bitcoin before intending or planing to bring it in into cryptocurrency.

I’ve brought the subject up to my closer circle every now and then, and although they seemed to prick their ears at first, it didn’t take long for them to kind of stop taking the bait for me to further elaborate on the matter.

Everyone’s experience to this sense will be different, but in my case, I’ve come to terms with the idea that if they are not seemingly interested nor motivated by the topic, then it’s better to give it a pass with them.

I did try to pull one more rabbit from my hat this xMas, by offering a few of my closer circle (and that’s as far as this offer goes) some BTC to kick-start their interest, by their yikes type reaction simply piles to the prior notion of not forcing something on them that they are simply not going to be interested in.

Experience somewhat similar story because i don't know how many people I have told about Bitcoin but say 6 out of 10 were not interested in hearing it and pretend they are listening but at last they enjoy their way and ignores it but you know it's their loss not ours so on our end we can try to lend a helping hand but we can't force anyone to learn about it or can't preach relegion to atheist.

But i am happy because i have circle of 7-8 people who meet-up at different locations whenever we get time and they all are crypto enthusiast and then we have discussion about crypto especially bitcoin because the group really give importance to shitcoins being traded in the market so i can say that we all are bitcoin enthusiastic.Tried to spread awareness about crypto market to our neighborhood also and few people contacted us on which we were happy to help and educate them.

But this is World of internet where you can find information about everything but it can be tampered according to one's personal preference or misconception and you need to locate the correct source and understand them at deep levels. That can be done with our eyes open and mind to understand.

However i do believe that bitcoin may not be the best gift to give everyone because the best and appropriate gift for everyone is relative.
everyone have his or her reason and kind of gift, Bitcoin is best gift to give somebody that know cryptocurrencies very well not even a specific coin like othe altcoins, using myself as reference, i will prefer bitcoin gift instead of material gift.

If your are friends with someone, you must have heard them mention a couple of times something they wanted but maybe too busy to get for themselves.
Some friends doesn't not review information's to someone especially when they are not interested to pass a profitable information that will contribute or eradicate you from passing through pains, is very obvious that you can be with person for awhile but you will not be able to notice what's the person is doing.

If you are close to me as friend or family, it is impossible to be around me and not hear me mention bitcoin or cryptocurrency several times. Not like i speak about crypto to every tom, dick and harry i come across, for security reasons i don't, but for friends and family i do so to arouse and trigger their interest. However i do believe that bitcoin may not be the best gift to give everyone because the best and appropriate gift for everyone is relative. Educating them is the best gift you can give, giving them bitcoin will come later once they have already learned the basics. it's very important that they have to understand bitcoin first, and then if they will get more interested, they will just do more research to improve their knowledge, then that's the best way to give them bitcoin.

I'll start it with my family and friensds, of course, I will make sure I'll help people who are open minded so it's easier to teach them.
This is an opportunity for them, so we should not force them to learn.

So I am not interested in convincing anyone for now but I am ready to guide people who is eager to learn more about bitcoin, where to buy them? how to keep them safely. I will not complicate by telling technical things because it maybe too difficult for a common fella to understand but eventually they will learn it by themselves.

You can do this any day mot only on new year. Cool

There is no need to be obsessive in the desire to teach and attract anyone else about bitcoin. But gradually, by giving all sorts of examples, and not only good ones but also not entirely joyful ones, we can get our friends interested. But it should go very smoothly, and if you take responsibility for helping explain Bitcoin, then be telling the whole truth. To attract friends to invest in bitcoin, teach them all the little things, from storing bitcoin, and preventing the loss of your funds at a certain point in your life. The choice and responsibility for your money should always be on the side of your friends. Otherwise, you could lose those whom you sincerely wanted to help.

It goes like this, when you introduce Bitcoin to people, most of them will think you are scammer. They will look at you like victims of a scam digital money.

I did it in the past and I won't repeat it in future. If anyone knows I am Bitcoin investor, and if they need my advice, they will find me and ask for my advice. I can give them free advice, and free basic introduction but only if they find me.

I won't proactively to find anyone to make introduction about Bitcoin. Social media does it already and most of people heard of Bitcoin already. It's their own issue to accept or reject Bitcoin and whether they want to learn about Bitcoin.

The crypto trend is already quite popular around where I am from with a lot of people jumping into it, although, majority of the interest is directed towards pump and dumps and get rich quick schemes. Introducing  bitcoin is a bit easy as there is already a foundation for it, but getting them to direct their interest towards it is the hard part as many feel it is at the peak and cannot give 1000% or more.

I mostly discuss in general, keeping an open mind to the various altcoins they talk about and giving my honest review, my main focus however is on security; wallets, exchanges etc, and also safe investment strategies.

OP is right from his angle about reaching out to more people and telling them about bitcoin. It doesn't necessary mean those around you. We are connected together in the universe through our gadgets. Most of our close friends we met on the internet have not seen us physically in the real world. It's a strong avenue to discuss bitcoin with them or send some bitcoin to them as an Xmas Gift, because people trust friends they have not met before more than the guy they see twice a week.

Such move will push the receiver to continuously ask questions about the kind of Gift you gave to them. At this point, the ball is in your court and trust the process they will one day get interested and start making research about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole. It's an indirect help to the community and ecosystem.

The best knowledge is that wish you seek on your own. So, the goal is to make the person to do their own research about bitcoin not just talking endlessly about the importance of bitcoin to them which can make a friend to unfriend you or even go as far as blocking you on all platforms. People need their peace.

Once a man, twice a child!
you can share your knowledge with them, trust me, they will appreciate your efforts and contributions.
Sorry to burst your bubbles, not everyone will appreciate the Bitcoin preaching. Some even see it as a boring speech or lecture. These friends may even avoid you once they get used to you always telling them about Bitcoin. All people want is fast cash. Bitcoin isn't an avenue for fast and quick cash (I ain't saying it can't happen that way, but that's not the motivation), Bitcoin is investment on a long term. Not many want that long term stuff. They rather turn to quick fixes and Ponzi schemes. Therefore, it depends on who has the right mindset to accept a lecture on Bitcoin that can value it. Without that, it's like pouring water on a rock.

We can share all our knowledge about bitcoin with our individual friends and teach them. but what they said above, we can not force them to like bitcoin cause nowadays if you tell some about bitcoin they replied its a scam (like here in my country Philippines).
It's hard to share about Bitcoin because all they know is that Bitcoin is a Scam many fake sites are created to scam people. That's the reason why bitcoin known as a scam in my place.

Personally I don't teach anyone if they didn't ask me first, because it only looks more forcing them to use Bitcoin which is not good. Some people might never even want talked about Bitcoin to anyone due to privacy and can be targeted by someone/your friend. It's up to you if you want to teach anyone about Bitcoin, but you should know the risk behind it.

IMO average Joe are more interested with hype and fast money rather than holding for few years.

Same thing here. But it did remind me something when I was still a network marketer. Back then, I used to be the one “introducing” or “begging” them to buy the products and join as an associate until I’ve realized that for years that it isn’t the right approach in which a lot of people have turned me down, avoiding me and the worst is that they have unfriended me for what I have been doing. And yes, I have struggled for years trying to prove my worth, but it didn’t.

Enter Bitcoin. This time, it’s the opposite. I never asked people to buy Bitcoin or getting introduced. It’s them who have inquired to me via direct message or in my social media posts. Even before the pandemic where seminars are a thing, I did it for free using my own pocket money and never charge them a single dime to learn about Bitcoin.

Until now, I am still getting some random inquiries from non-crypto people and those who are still new to this industry. The ones who are skeptical about me from the past are now starting to follow me but of course it’s their own responsibility for the risks that they are taking.

Make sure the person you give coins will understand how the wallet works like how to send and receive, it doesn't need to be like he has to learn everything about BTC but make sure to remind him that a private key is important. You could just say it's the money from the internet and that person will already remember you that way.

I'm only giving cash to someone who is in need though. But right now I'm more concerned about the elderly. A new winter coat probably or coffee bags would be nice.

If someone concern about btc future then he can share it to save lives of those who are not aware of bitcoin. Save lives isn't an exaggerated if the btc will be an important thing in the future few years from now. Giving someone a bitcoin he/she will have fraction of a vet scare asset that could be more valuable in the future. So let's spread it. Likewise, Satoshi goals and vision is to make it world wide adoption as many as possible.

You can give bitcoin as a gift to other people and teach them how to use bitcoin, but you can not force them to like bitcoin because they will have their own opinion and decide later after hearing your explanation.
Whether they will be curious and search for more information about bitcoin and ask you later, that will be up to them and you only share the information about bitcoin without trying to force them to follow you.
Using bitcoin or not will depend on themselves but who knows, by we introduce bitcoin to them, that can attract them to know for more.
Maybe some of them will decide to follow you to use bitcoin and if that happens, you need to be ready to teach them everything you know so they do not get the wrong information about bitcoin.

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin
It's the season of love, and it's nice to give, but give something that people will remember you for.
Today is Christmas, the day of joy, tell someone about bitcoin. Bitcoin is freedom, and freedom is love, especially when it can be shared with anyone.
Satoshi has given the world bitcoin to embrace, but you shouldn't eat them (stack them) alone, there are others out there with the financial means to buy a bitcoin, but their understanding of bitcoin isn't sufficient to persuade them to do so, you can share your knowledge with them, trust me, they will appreciate your efforts and contributions.
Tell them a little about history because past is long and you may never get to say the important things, tell them the dos and don'ts, the security flows, and the pseudo privacy features of Bitcoin without anyone stalking their holdings, tell them the truth and nothing but the truth.
It's Christmas, so spread some positivity. Kiss
