New review about Peach Bitcoin: a peer-to-peer (P2P) application designed for purchasing and selling Bitcoin. It serves as an excellent alternative to centralized exchanges. You can buy Bitcoin using whatever method other users supports. It also offers users the opportunity to engage in cash transactions at specific locations and during designated events, such as Bitcoin conferences. While one drawback may be the associated higher costs, many users find these additional expenses worthwhile as they prioritize privacy protection in their P2P transactions. To delve deeper into the features and functionalities of Peach, visit: Peach Bitcoin Review.

I see you have a very nice and detailed review for Aqua wallet, but I would suggest adding clear warning for users to check and store safely their seed words backup.
For cons you mentioned there, they are working on desktop app and hardware wallet integration, but meanwhile it's easy to move coins to Green or Jade hardware wallet.

Thank you for your remark. I also noticed that AQUA wallet doesn't prompt to backup the seed phrase. Will update the review soon!

One of the latest reviews on blockdyor is about IVPN. This service stands out as a compelling VPN option in the market. Unlike many others, it doesn't require the creation of an account, eliminating the need for providing personal information such as email addresses.
Notably, it offers the flexibility of paying in Bitcoin on-chain or via the Lightning Network, courtesy of its integration with BTC Pay Server.

Discover more about its features and offerings at https://blockdyor.com/ivpn-review/.

This review is unusually short compared with your other review. At bare minimum, people would expect you review about connection speed/latency (compared with no VPN and few competitor) and some of it's feature (e.g. whether the ad blocking actually works).

Nice catch. We made it shorter because of the low correlation with the other topics in the website and it was mainly focused on the integration with Bitcoin and altcoins for a fully private VPN service. The team at IVPN is great and often attends in Bitcoin conferences with a booth. We plan to update it shortly!

A guide on public key cryptography and how it works in cryptocurrencies: Public And Private Keys: What Are They And How Do They Work?

Please double check this article.

This private key is stored on the blockchain, allowing anyone to verify your ownership by referencing your corresponding public key.

Private key isn't stored on the blockchain.

1. Encryption: The transaction is encrypted using your public key, making it accessible only through the corresponding private key. This encryption ensures the confidentiality of the transaction data.

This part is wrong since there's no encryption involved when creating Bitcoin transaction. There's no confidentiality since the amount, sender address and receiver address are known.

ETFbitcoin, I sincerely appreciate your invaluable contributions to this forum. I've corrected the errors.

I didn't attempt it, but it should function as expected. Will try next time I use it. This is because without using it, you have to pinpoint the precise sweet spot near the iPhone's camera for it to work; otherwise, it won't function correctly.

As for the wallet, if you're considering placing the card in the card holder, I believe it won't fit with the sleeve. This is because it's approximately 1cm wider than the card, and most card holders are designed to be quite snug, typically accommodating just the cards. Cards with covers or sleeves like this one are often challenging to fit.

In the case of Bisq, I need to double-check, but my computer was at 100% for a considerable period, and the synchronization process already completed. I'll need to attempt it again to be sure.

Keep in mind that ALL the links that I can find on this site from the reviews that link out to other sites are referral links.
AND if you signed up they have whatever other tracking information you gave them.

Not a big deal in the overall scheme of things, but for the people who are really concerned with their privacy and not being tracked just consider this a heads up.

@blockdyor you might want to mention that. If you did I didn't see it.

-Dave

Hi and thanks for your message!

Not all the links on this website are referral links. We've implemented a custom 'vanity link' system, where all external links feature the '/go/' prefix. This allows us to update them in case any become unavailable. The website may generate revenue from certain referral/affiliate links, and users may receive bonuses or discounts when using these links. All the partners have been selected and tested carefully, as you can see from the screenshot/photos on the website.

I'm personally working on displaying an 'affiliate' disclaimer without disrupting your navigation. For now, it has been added to the Privacy Policy, and I think in the future it will appear in the website footer. Thanks for bringing this up!

As mentioned in our Privacy Policy, we do not track users without their consent. You even have the option to opt out of the only tracking we use, which is for 'Analytics.'

The only "subscription" (it's free) available on the website is related to email (to receive a newsletter every time a new post is published), and our Privacy Policy details how we handle this information – rest assured, we do not sell it in any way. Also, you won't be spammed from blockdyor as the newsletter is usually once a week.

your website is quite good, starting from the design and navigation, everything is well organized and i like it. however, there are things that you could consider improving a little;

- i found that at one time your website could take too long to load, it seems you need to optimize your server.
- the sign in section seems problematic, because when we have signed up and confirmed the email, we will be redirected to the website but when we click on the "account" section it will ask to sign in again and that takes a long time.
- using number navigation looks better on your website.
- will members be able to post on your website in the future?
- adding comment and reaction section is quite good for increasing interaction.

Thank you for your comment!

- Regarding website speed, I'm not currently seeing this issue. In fact, the website loads quite quickly (Gtmetrix result: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/blockdyor.com/ubfS8RCJ/). Could you please try again?

- You're absolutely right about the account login issue, which is due to an overly aggressive cache. We will address this problem in the future. Anyway the user account dashboard is quite simple, as you can just unsubscribe/subscribe to the newsletter. You can unsubscribe also from the newsletter your receive in your inbox.

- While the number navigation is nice, it does have a somewhat dated feel. The 'infinite scroll' gives a more modern feel to the website I think.

- Currently, posting is limited to the members of the blockdyor team. However, we're exploring the possibility of accepting guest posts. Feel free to send us an email if you're interested.

- As for enabling comments, it's not in our immediate plans. Comment sections typically require moderation, and our resources are currently focused on creating high-quality content. Perhaps in the future, we'll revisit this.

I actually like your site and the content that you provide, because the articles are detailed and it contains some good information. Most of the other sites are just a re-hash of previous articles that are posted from other people's blogs or some AI generated content.

I like it when Bitcoin Blogs provide services that can be paid for with Bitcoin (like the one on the VPN) ... because I think sites like this should explore the opportunities for people to actually use their Bitcoin and not just to hoard it.  Roll Eyes

Job well done!

Thank you! The primary purpose of the website is to discuss Bitcoin industry with its many products and services and occasionally touch upon other altcoins. Often, when we did cover other altcoins on the website, it was with a critical perspective.

An update with the most interesting articles published recently about Bitcoin on blockdyor:

Vexl Review: An Innovative P2P Bitcoin Trading App https://blockdyor.com/vexl-review/

It's first time i heard about this P2P service. It's not even mentioned https://kycnot.me/ which list so many no/optional-KYC exchange. I'm also pleased with quality and detail of your review. Although for Vexl itself, i have mixed feeling since it currently only available on Android/iOS and friend/group feature doesn't seem to be useful unless those around you already use cryptocurrency.

Thank you. This represents both a limitation and a significant advantage of Vexl. Its primary strength lies in facilitating Bitcoin trades within your circles (friends and friends of friends). I tried the app @ BTC Prague last June and they gave me their number, which has connected me with approximately 500 individuals actively trading on the platform. If you'd like, you can reach out to me via email (you'll find it in the article), and I can provide you with my contact information. This way, you'll also gain access to a network of 500 peers for conducting transactions within Vexl. Additionally, I believe you can connect with the Vexl team and they may be able to add you to the platform as well.

A beautiful and simple site, with good and new articles, and this is what everyone is looking for mostly.

But I don't know what is the need to register on a news site. If the site is mainly news, what is the need for people to register on the site? I mean are there additional or exclusive features that they will get?

If the purpose of registering is to receive notifications about new news, you can instead subscribe to the mailing list. This will make things easier for users who do not wish to register and want to receive notifications about new news.
I just tested it, and it seems that the registration process is somewhat broken: after confirming the email you are using to create an account, nothing actually happens besides the subscription notification popping up at the top of the screen. When you click an "Account" button after successful sign-in, it redirects you back to the login screen, asking you to insert your email again. It could be that sign-up serves as a way to subscribe to the mailing list, but I have nothing to confirm that. As for the website itself, its design is neat and tidy, contrast is okay, nice font, colors and icons. It also doesn't have any trackers, which is a rare occurrence for cryptocurrency-related resources: https://themarkup.org/blacklight?url=blockdyor.com

Thank you for your feedback! The registration process on our website does not require a password, only an email address. Simply click on the email to complete the registration process and start receiving all the latest posts! You have the option to unsubscribe at any time.

During your initial visit to the website, you will be presented with a consent form asking if you would like to enable cookies. If you choose not to enable them, there will be no tracking, such as Analytics or Adsense. This adherence to GDPR rules ensures compliance with privacy regulations.

I read few articles and overall the quality is better compared with article on many cryptocurrency news media. Although at details, there are few wrong technical details such as,

1. Centralization Concerns: SegWit allows for the creation of off-chain transactions that do not need to be recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain, which some critics argue could lead to a centralization of power among large Bitcoin exchanges or custodians who control these off-chain transactions.

This is wrong, creating Bitcoin off-chain is still possible without SegWit. Although it'd harder since they need to mitigate malleability on their own. In addition, not all off-chain is centralized or rely on custodian.

Liquid Network Disadvantages

While the Liquid Network has numerous advantages, it's also important to discuss its drawbacks.

--snip--

This list could be longer since Liquid also had few problem like these,
https://www.coindesk.com/tech/2020/06/26/blockstreams-liquid-network-sent-8m-in-btc-unsafely-says-bitcoin-developer/

But otherwise i'll bookmark your website and visit it sometimes.

I want to ask about the home page, why and not entering the latest news to the home page, which is topped on the home page is an update on June 17, 2023, while you have made a new article on June 30, 2023, but I saw it on the Wallet page page page , is that intentionally?, if it is deliberately, in my opinion better the latest article can be aired on the start page.IMO

Thank you for your question! You are right, the latest post is not visible on the home page (will be in a few days) due to longer edge cache periods. This helps maintain server performance during high traffic spikes.

I'm thrilled to introduce you https://blockdyor.com/, a new website dedicated to all things Bitcoin, altcoins, and beyond. It's basically a blog where you can discover weekly reviews and helpful guides about various products and services related to Bitcoin and cryptos.

I figure that you're not using WordPress it's the most popular blogging platform with thousands of free and premium templates and plugins you can create an astonishing blog, and blogs nowadays are using magazine type, so why not use WordPress?
Your blog is already good but it could still improve there are no social media widgets where visitors can share your blog on popular social media sites.
And what's with the sign-up and sign in when it is not a membership type of site?

Hello! Thank you for your questions. No, I am not using Wordpress. While Wordpress initially started as a blogging platform, it eventually expanded its mission to cover a wide range of functionalities. So, it seems that Wordpress lost a little bit of its soul to me. The admin panel and overall usability feels clunky, and the need to install dozens of plugins leads to increased lines of code, resulting in a larger attack surface and slower loading times.

Since the website mainly consists of static pages, I prioritized simplicity and speed. Consequently, you won't find social icons (you can find all the links in the contact page) or similar elements like widgets.

Actually the website has a free membership, so the sign-up/sign-in buttons are for registering/logging-in on the website. You just need an email, and the advantage is that you receive the new posts directly in your inbox (you won't get spammed).

Moving forward, I will share the latest posts here as well. The most recent article focuses on the Satscard, a card to store bitcoin developed by Coinkite. I conducted thorough testing, captured detailed photographs, and even transferred funds to provide a comprehensive review. I found it that it's an amazing solution to pass along bitcoin without even using the blockchain, because it's a physical object! You can find the complete review and insights at https://blockdyor.com/satscard/.

Did somebody tried it? Do you have any opinions about this card that I might consider to add to the review? Let me know.

I didn't write this one personally, and you are completely right about the GPU & software errors, I will change it. Actually spoke to some of the companies you mentioned at a conference recently, so I was planning to write also about it. Thank you again!
Who wrote it then? Is there no editing process at all? I've tried to search your authors but so far found no other info other than the provided photo profile and very obscure social media accounts. Personally, it gives the feeling that your author is hiding behind a fake profile and just spins articles from other sources. I'd suggest you add some editing processes before any article is published to avoid mistakes like that.

The author of the Bitcoin Mining article is Kate. It is common practice for writers to gather information from various sources. While referencing external information is normal, fact-checking remains essential, and I will carefully review the entire process from now on. Thanks for the heads up!

Regarding this account on Bitcointalk, it is associated with me, Andrea, the founder of the website. You can find me on blockdyor and even connect on Facebook for further communication.

Your site is well designed and pleasant to navigate.

However, I have some comments to make about this article, I am not sure you know what you are talking about: Bitcoin Mining: What Is It And How Does It Work? 2023

Quote
Bitcoin mining involves solving complex mathematical problems to verify transactions and create new bitcoins. This guide explores the fundamentals of the process, from hardware requirements to the economics behind it.

Quote
By using sophisticated hardware, this "mining" entails solving an extremely complex mathematical problem.

Quote
Bitcoin mining is the process of adding new transactions to the Bitcoin blockchain by solving complex mathematical problems. Miners use specialized computer equipment to solve these problems and validate transactions, and in return, they are rewarded with newly minted Bitcoins.

No. Mining is not like "solving complex mathematical problems", people need to stop saying that. It is closer to bruteforcing than to solving a complex mathematical problem. The "mathematical problem to solve" is a preconceived idea which is totally wrong.

Quote
To mine Bitcoin, miners must first download and install a Bitcoin wallet, which is used to store their earnings. They also need to have access to specialized mining hardware, such as ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits) or GPUs (Graphics Processing Units), which are designed specifically for mining Bitcoin

Your title is "Bitcoin minig [...] 2023"

For years now, it is impossible to mine efficiently BTC and sha256d coins with a GPU. ASICs yeah, GPU is totally wrong.

Quote
Once the hardware is set up, miners must connect to the Bitcoin network and download a copy of the blockchain.

You absolutely don't need a full node to be able to mine. You need an internet connection, an ASIC and a pool. The time of solo mining via Bitcoin Core is long dead and gone.

Quote
Mining software: You will need mining software to connect your ASIC miners to the Bitcoin network and start mining. There are several popular mining software options, including CGMiner, BFGMiner, and EasyMiner.

Unless you are talking about some very specific ASICs like Gekkoscience ASICs - which are more for "hobby" or home mining than everything else - a mining software is not necessary at all. CGminer or a forked version of cgminer is already present on all ASICs.

Without wishing to be unpleasant, I hope you've written the other articles with a better grasp of your subject.

Thank you so much for your opinion and suggestions! I didn't write this one personally, and you are completely right about the GPU & software errors, I will change it. Just to make sure I think you posted in wrong thread because this is nothing about bitcoin project development. Or maybe I would be wrong so it all depends on moderators.

This is the right category for this thread. The site looks great, it's great to see it full of articles and stories you all have written over the past few months. That shows some commitment, all too often, people post a news site or blog just a couple days after starting it, and it always fizzles out.

The articles themselves are insanely detailed, keep that up and this will definitely start getting organic traffic if it hasn't already.

Thank you for your opinion! Yes, my idea is to actually try the product/service before writing about it. Only in this way the guide/article will be actually interesting to read!

And I read your one article about meme pool and it is awesome really like your website simple neat and clean. I had also worked on blog websites and they are good ones so keep it up and never lose hope. You should add some tools related to crypto sphere in your website to decrease the bounce rate. (note for those who might think I am appreciating the ops website which might contains AI data for which I had not checked it but website was really good so I have no favors towards op not know him just made a legit review about it)

Thank you so much for your opinion! The domain was bought around block 769743, so it's still quite young. No use of AI, also the reviews and guides about products and services are tested hands on, and when the product is actually a physical object there are real photos in it.
