yes, its very similar to horse racing. we also use the parimutuel betting system, in which the jackpot is the sum of all placed bets and is split among the winners, proportional to their relative bet amount.
The latest race might be unavailable for a short time when it was just uploaded, please try to reload the page, then it should show.
The live stream does not have auto play (yet), so you have to click on it to start playing. Or do you see an error message or something?

The countdown is only an estimation to give an indication. It's based on the average speed and calculates the time approx. needed for mia to reach the goal of 2km.

Similar horse racing, but mia making it different. Live stream and Lasest race unaccesable, something wrong?, aslo im confused about "distance equals 2 kilometers" but I see a downtime on top right :/
Then i can't see an explain about what's jackpot.

Haha, yeah it's a crazy idea, but once we had it, we had to build it Cheesy

There is just one hamster, Mia. She's a few months old and hopefully will stay with us for one year or longer.

Mia is nocturnal, so there will be races only between 5PM and 5AM GMT (the live stream will be online the whole 12 hours)

Dump it!!!
Well this is certainly unique, lol.

Didn't think I'd ever see a smart-contract powered hamster rolling game  Grin

Just curious whether we'll see the same hamsters (e.g. if they'll be labelled) so we can pick our favorites over time? Also, will this run 24/7 or will it be only during certain timeslots?

Hello Everyone

Over the last two years we have been working on a betting dapp for real marble races, which

- is powered by an actual living hamster
- is provably safe by the use of an Ethereum smart contract
- takes real-world randomness from the hamsters movements which is running in a wheel
- has a provable-live video stream

We think this is a novel combination of real-world random events and blockchain technology, and would love to hear your thoughts.

We just launched the beta on the Goerli testnet: https://mia.bet
Any sort of feedback is welcome!
