Did you drill the hole in the wall to put in the surge protectors?

Yes! I drilled it. The surge protector had a guiding paper which u could use to drill the holes.

Hello!

I've been mining for about 3 months now. Scrypt currencies is my preference right now

Using a 2 7970 2 7950 rig as of today = 2700 kh/s

Setting up a second one with 5 7950 for an estimated output of 3200 kh/s (3 more to come in the near future)

I modified my home with an additional 220V power outlet so I can get lower amps, thus putting less of a strain on my electrical system.

Currently living In Venezuela, South America. We do have a lot of social and economical issues right now(high crime, difficult access to primary goods, among others)..specially with a crazy government that behaves as if the country was a kindergarten. But populism have its perks; gas prices are the lowest on earth ( a 50 liter tank can be filled with less than 0.15 USD). Electricity costs are also very low...however the system is unreliable and in some places it goes offline veeery often..lucky for me that's not the case in my city.

Oh..and power cost is less than 0.01 per KW/H

Cryptocurrency mining is very profitable in this country right now as an average rig will make about 200/300 usd per month, power will only cost 3 or 4 USD and the average well paid salary is about 200 usd..you go and figure.

This figures were calculated using the black market currency prices...which is the one that most venezuelans have access to anyway so it is pretty realistic.

2 ISP for an effective failover..it works great!

First rig..currently there's another one running...should have taken some pics but haven't gotten around to it

Setting up the 220V installation...in this crazy country there are little to no regulations..so if I violated any of your local regulations I can tell you nobody cares in this country xD

With a 220V surge protector...we get a lot of those so these babies are a MUST!

These ones could've been done with cables only..but I wanted something a little more fancy. You need the matching plugs and cut the PSU cables in order to connect the green one to the ground pole, the rest can be connected anywhere you want since both are hot

Wanted to make this post mainly because I had a hard time getting info on 220V rigs in America...so feel free to ask anything you want. Cheers!
