I like the device. It is a very good solution for those who want to stake some coins without having a high electricity expense. I guess I'll have to send for one and try it!

Very cool, ready when you are.

After negotiating with some of our suppliers we are now able to offer the StakeBox at a reduced price. Starting today the most common version, with 16GB storage is now only $80 including shipping in the US. Check out stakebox.com/purchase for other options and prices.

I haven't updated this thread in a long time, but that doesn't mean nothing has been going on. For anyone interested, some of the recent advancements are:

Support for several new coins has been added since my last post here, the current list of supported coins includes Archcoin, BitBean, BlackCoin, Bottlecaps, Cash, Clam, Crave, DarkTron, Diamond, FlutterCoin, GoldPieces, HoboNickels, HYPER, HyperStake, LiteDoge, Mintcoin, Navajo Coin, Netcoin, NovaCoin, OKCash, Pandacoin, Paycoin, PayCon, Peercoin, Philosopherstone, Ratecoin, ShadowCash, Sprouts, TEKcoin, and Vericoin.

Updating the UI and wallets has been made into a simple, one click process.

The value of the coins in your wallet is automatically calculated and shown in BTC and your choice of fiat currency.

A lot of small features have been added at the requests of current users of StakeBoxes.

There are other features and functions in the works, and as always requests and comments are welcomed and encouraged.

Would you consider releasing the code? Just to make sure that you're not having a backdoor into all stakeboxes to empty the wallets at once the moment the network is big enough to make it worth your while? Wink

That seems to be a pretty common request, in the next few days we will get everything we wrote up on github so anyone can check it out.

If you would like to check out what we did, everything we wrote can be seen here, github.com/StakeBox/WebUI.

A new dedicated staking device is now available, the StakeBox. Are you tired of worrying if the web browsing, or other activities you do on your home computer may be putting your coins at risk? Cryptocurrencies are a prime target for hackers, and all varieties of malware. All of your online activities on your computer that is also hosting your wallet are a potential vector of attack on your precious coins. Leaving your computer running 24/7 to help secure your favorite blockchain, and receive some staking income in exchange is using excessive electricity. There is generally no need to consume an entire desktop's, or even laptop's, worth of electricity in the process. Our product is the result of that thought process.

The StakeBox uses less than 5 watts of electricity, requires no additional hardware or software, is completely silent, is capable of running multiple wallets simultaneously, and has a footprint not much bigger than a credit card.

Access to your wallet is available from any internet enabled device on your home network via a simple, intuitive web UI. from there you can do more or less anything your wallet is capable of doing including, but not limited to, checking your balance, send and receive coins, view transaction history, encrypt your wallet, etc. Most devices can simply go to the URL stakebox.local/, for access from Android devices you must find the devices local IP address on your routers admin page and point your browser there. If you desire, you can also attach a keyboard and mouse, and hook it up to your TV or monitor via HDMI, there you will be greeted by a full blown OS with GUI where you can use the full Qt wallet.

For more information check it out at StakeBox.com. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, we are here to help.
