I don't have a huge amount of time to hang out in forums but, when I have questions this is generally the place I find answers to.  I started CPU mining then GPU mining (many high end cards, still seem to earn on multipool altcoin mining).  I have had to discard some equipment and have been acquiring ASICs from multiple vendors (spread the risk) to avoid the Sheriff's office breaking down my door looking for the 'grow house' all the time cursing at un-named manufacturer's for delays and outright lies while praising others.  I am a software developer by day C++, I do realtime, high availability financial applications.  I have done a lot of play time with microcontrollers, engineering, etc.  I have a finance degree and started on a trading floor (capital markets) but, found that the major profit centers of large banks, hedge funds, etc get what they want and will pay any price to get it so I have spend the last 20 years helping them get what they want and pushing the limits of 'any price'.  I had a solid computer background before college having a software company, soldering together my first computer at 12 years old, programming assembler, a CS Major would have been wasted but, I needed a solid background in Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Finance, Law, etc.  I am divorced have 2 great kids and tons of hobbies, too many in fact.  I am currently spending a lot of time on getting an investment property into onto the rental market, then going back project development.

I initially found this newbie post requirement as asinine however having been a moderator for another board for a couple of years (it was all I could take and it was meteorology related...) it does not seem like a bad idea.  We were a different community, we required real names, we often recognized the names or would meet eventually at some meteorology event.   In any event I need to send some PM's and possibly give back and answer a few questions (not that I have time to actively seek them out but, from time to time I say 'oh, I can answer that'.  Or, this $9.95 power supply with 2 day free shipping will work just fine on your crapped out BFL cheapo power supply and such other topics I run into from time to time but, I thought I would say hi.  I am not looking to make a name for myself in any fashion or become the king of bitcoin (or bitcon) in anyway just the opposite I will probably keep a low profile and have until I found out that you can't send PM's without posting to this forum first and getting approved.

The name is Chris, If I post an avatar it will be me not what I own, accomplished, or want.  It's not my intent to hide behind 'handles' I use a handle simply because next to 'John Smith' my name is not too much further down whereas JakeBlaster2 is kind of unique (although I guess their must be a JakeBlaster, and JakeBlaster1 already on the board so maybe not).

I do use a encrypted password app to create super complex random passwords for every unique site I require a password for.

-his mightiness Jake Blaster 'the second', you can call me Chris.
