I personally find it cheaper to load a computer with between 4 and 6 gpus and that way you need less extra hardware and less overall power because you are not powering a extra cpu or hardive and things like that.

I'm fairly new to mining and have been leeching information off of BitCoinTalk for while  I figured I'd register and start my account aging so I can join in and share what I've learned in my fairly unguided experience of starting to mine alt coins.  I've tried to do this on a very thin budget, which is partly possible due to the fact I have access to about as many used computers as I can lay my hands on.  I've got three machines running now, each with one GPU.  I plan on adding additional GPUs to two of the machines in the near future.

Many thanks to the veterans who are willing to share their successes on here and help us new folks out.  I hope to be able to give back to the community with my experiences as well.
