Hello everyone! My name is James Carr, a veteran software engineer who has finally started delving into bitcoin. I had heard about it as far back as 2009 but never bothered to really look into it. I again saw a presentation on it at strange loop last year, but just finally got around to looking into it this week.
I'm interested in it as it has huge potential and I've always been interested in the idea of digital currency and this is the first time I've seen something that works. I'm also brainstorming website ideas around it.
I blog about software development at
http://blog.james-carr.org, tweet at @jamescarr, and share various opensource projects at
http://www.github.com/jamescarr. I am also starting a blog on bitcoin as well that will document my experiences with it, whatever they might wind up being. I'll add the blog to my sig whenever I make my first post.
Other than that, I'm a family man that enjoys microbrews, scifi, and hacking. Anything else just ask.
