Before transferring coin from exchange A to exchange B, I believe you already have an account on exchange B, you have to obtain that recognized address for the particular coin that you wish to transfer to.

You cannot be transferring a coin in btc now and be transferring to Ethereum, it would not go, you are even lucky that you are getting such error messages, we have some that will go but get stocked on the network, which that I don’t even know how it is being resolved, but not that you have been given a clue, you have to go back and check If the address you are trying to copy out is the right address, otherwise, you will be getting such error message. Once you are able to get the right address copied out, you should be good to go man.

By sending THX to Ethereum address do you mean just THX on Ethereum blockchain or strictly ETH coin address?

You have to send the token THX to the deposit address mentioned on the exchange which is in your case CREX24. Not to any ethereum address. I checked with CREX24 and they have given waves address for the particular token THX and not the ETH address which means CREX24 has THX based on waves blockchain and Coinexchange uses THX based on ETH blockchain which is why your address was marked invalid. Here is what is said on CREX24: http://prntscr.com/p4oeo4

You need to find another exchange in this case for THX tokens based on Ethereum blockchain only as you can't just waves based token to ETH based token which is unfortunately the case here.

I hope you did not try to translate the Ether to Bitcoin? First, make sure that you get the address on the exchange for the particular coin (token) that you are going to send from another exchange. You probably were just a little inattentive in this case.

I suspect that you are sending tokens/coins with different contract. y0ou should check the address deposit of every coin in the exchange.
You are still lucky if you are really mistaking it, that your transfer did not went through.

I remember picking my hairs for a similar problem. Turned out the coin had changed / swap into its own blockchain and I was trying to withdraw to its old erc20 address. Stupid of me. I know. But Thankfully it never went through and i didnt lose my money.

By sending THX to Ethereum address do you mean just THX on Ethereum blockchain or strictly ETH coin address?

You can send THX to any Ethereum address, not on Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum addresses support token Like THX so it is compatible if you send THX to Electrum address.

Sample address of ETH 0xBB9bc244D798123fDe783fCc1C72d3Bb8C189413

Then from ETH explorer https://etherscan.io/address/0xbb9bc244d798123fde783fcc1c72d3bb8c189413

Check that explorer and under token you can see all listed token so if you send THX to your ETH address under token you can find the THX after you received the THX token in your ETH address.

The address you are trying to deposit to on Crex24 - 3PPjk26B4PHburgLSkpjV83KUVF5Cp8XYek - looks like an address on the Waves blockchain. Coinexchange is talking about an address on the Ethereum blockchain. These are two different blockchains, and are not compatible with each other. THX exists as an asset on both chains, but they are not directly transferable between chains.

Essentially you have bought THX in one format, and are trying to deposit it to a different format, which is why it won't let you do it. You could withdraw your THX tokens to an Ethereum address or an exchange which supports the Ethereum tokens, but not to a Waves address.

I have contacted the Coinexchange support describing the situation. They will probably not let me withdraw my coins, but I will give it a chance. At least I can learn something new.

EDIT: Ok, so I've received an answer from the Coinexchange support:

Please note that the THX token that we list works on the Ethereum blockchain.

As such any addresses with begin with an 0x the same as any ETH address.

Links to the explorers for THX can be found here on CMC:

It just sums up what we discussed here.

I figure the assets you are interested in moving on Coinexchange.io have a better current sell price at CREX24. If you’re at a huge loss on one exchange as you mention, the story is likely very similar on the other.

Regardless, if both exchanges trade the same asset, then you should be able to move them from one to another, although the address formats may have their doing in your issue. You could still contact the former exchange, provide them the name of the crypto asset you want to withdraw and the destination public address, and detail the issue you are having. They should tell you if there is an address format issue, but if your operation is time sensitive, the response from support may not be as swift as one would desire.

Thank you both for the explanation. Yes, I was trying to send the same kind of crypto asset. It seems a little more complicated than I thought. I will check both addresses from now on every time when planning to transfer some assets. Now I'm stuck with these coins and can either take a huge loss or wait for the eternity for someone to buy it from me. Lesson learned. Smiley

I assume that both addresses involved support the same type of crypto asset, and that you are not mistakenly trying to move to an address that does not match your currency (i.e. BTC to XRP).

If that is not the case, then there is also the question of address formats being supported by an exchange. For example, not all Exchanges fully support Segwit addresses (see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bech32_adoption), and some people have has issue moving LTC from coinexchange.io to another exchange (see https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/7olk75/withdrawing_ltc_from_coinexchangeio/ for example). Some coins may have different formats, and you need to assess which one you are using on either end of the TX (with the exchanges themselves preferably).

You need to check the deposit address of each coin you want to send to Crex24 and that you can find out from your dashboard and clicking on deposit/receiving address (guessing they are altcoins you will have an ETH address and not BTC one). This is because each coin has a separate wallet and contract and hence check the address properly and then only send coins else you'll lose your coins. To be on a safe side, send about 10 or less coins to that address and then the remaining coins to see if the coins are successfully deposited and the address is active.

Hello there,

I was hoping to transfer some coins from Coinexchange.io to CREX24, but I kept receiving the "Invalid withdrawal address entered" message. I guess there are different types of addresses that have to match on both exchanges, but how can I know if I can transfer the coins from exchange A to exchange B before obtaining that coin to read that the address is invalid in the end? Is there any info or a list of coins and exchange pairs that can transfer the coin between each other?

Here is the (invalid) deposit address from CREX24 that I am trying to use:
