I just received an email supposedly coming from Yobit.net and it is inviting me to take a look at their Yobit InvestBox. I am then wondering if this is a legit kind of offer coming from Yobit or just another scam invitation that can victimized people from their hard-earned money. The return is not that much except for that top of the list but then compared to the banks this is quite good but am also concerned about the risks involved.

Is there anybody here who have been investing with InvestBox? Please share your experience with this opportunity.

I also got it, but I will NOT USE it. IMO this kind of offers are not making good favor of youbit. Every cell in my brain is screaming - SCAM, HYIP and end of Yobit...It's impossible to give you 1700%+ per month and be legit.

We really have to be careful even with offers from supposedly legit sources like Yobit.net. Just like OP, I also received the same email offer but I just throw it to the Delete Can because I am not sure if the program can really stand against the test of time. It would be sad to see a program go and with it many victims if the structure is just another ponzi or the promise of pay rate is not realistic which can be the big factor for failure.

I see 2 scenarios atm:

It's a way to get funds to make money with some pump'n dumps, so they can guarantee the ROI,
or it's the begin of an exit scam.

This topic should be moved to the "Service discussion" board.it doesn`t belong to the "Speculation" board.
I`ve received the same email, but the annoying part is that i`ve deleted my Yobit account two years ago and i unsubscribed from their email list, but i somehow continue to receive emails from them, which is illegal just like any other unwanted email spam.Yobit is well known for listing shitty altcoins for pumping purposes, but i used to like their exchange platform design and various features.I don`t trust this Investbox thing, but i lot of newbies will try it,i hope that they don`t invest with their own money.

It seems like a real offer from YoBit, but that doesn't mean you should take it.

I'm not involved with YoBit. I am involved in investing and these types of offers are easy to assess based solely on how much interest they're "promising" to pay you and comparing that to what's available in the marketplace.

For an offer like this to profitable for YoBit they need to be able to make more interest on your money than they are going to pay you for the time period.

Here's a list of annual interest rates by country: https://www.deposits.org/savings-accounts.html. The highest rate is 20% per year. So if YoBit is going to offer 3% per month on BTC they need to be able to make more than 3% per month with the money you've invested to make a profit...which is the only legitimate reason someone would make this offer to you.

We don't know what YoBit is doing with your money, but a good estimate is to look at what interest rates are around the globe. The most conservative thing they can do is reinvest your money at a higher rate. So if 20% is the highest rate globally that's available, how are they going to pay you 36% (3% per month for 12 months) without taking on some serious risk? And where there is risk there is the opportunity for them to lose your money.

They're probably investing your money in mining, which may give them a decent return and enough to pay that 3% reliably, but it's still a risk offer for YOU!

Be careful with this shit.

The next thing to be wary of is a lock-in period for your investment. If they require you to keep your money with them for a minimum number of days, weeks, months, run away as fast as possible. They can vanish at any point during that lock-in period and there's nothing you can do but bitch to us on this forum about how YoBit hasn't been responding to your emails, asking us if we think it was a ponzi scheme.

Good luck to you.

The URL clearly indicates that its from yobit.net but the way the email says that "its not a pyramid or a HYIP, and all payment are made from special funds" this is were the shady part comes in.
If you know the reputation of yobit today its not very good as there are many accusation about putting scam coins in the exchange and holding wallet saying its on maintenance.

check the URL in the email, if it is leading to Yobit.net and if the sender is the same then it is legit (in a sense that it comes from them). i have also received the same Email and there is in fact an investment option called InvestBox in Yobit.

but that doesn't make it legit (in a sense that it is a Ponzi scheme)!
Yobit is shady, and they are not to be trusted with your money for more than you are forced to. like when you just want to claim some airdrop and dump it and be done with it.

and beware that you are forced to make a couple of bets on their platform in their NOT provably fair dice in that coin you invest in order to get the profit of that day!
