Actually, I've always been suspicious about the whole trust system in bitcointalk. I think either this index should be omitted or be revised not to let such stupid scams being run easily.
As of Bittrex scam mentioned by @gembitz, they are real parasites in the crypto ecosystem and it is very sad to see their shills are hanging around trying to discredit decent forum users who stand against them.
