Topic: Investing in Alt's Whats your favorite long term and why (Read 2080 times)

My favourite altcoin to hold in long term is DeepOnion. Why? Because the community is growing every day and the dev team behind this project is great. They are working a lot to launch new features, like DeepVault (it was released some days ago). They are developing another feature called DeepSend. I think we will see that feature very soon.

Also, I think DeepOnion will be listed in a big exchange soon. So we expect that the value will increase too.

I´m part of the airdrop and I bought a lot of Onions too.

Just my 2 cents.

I would go with Waves and Ripple both seem to have very solid foundation and good reflection on market.

I have some long term holdings. My favorite right now are:

XMR/Monero: I like privacy and in this case fungible coins. I foresee a growing market looking for privacy where BTC failed. So i see XMR growing steadily so even if it doenst PUMP like hell i think it´s very same to hold it.

KMD/KOMODO: it´s a very interesting platform with lots of development. They are launching a DIco very soon, first of a kind i think and i believe it still has lots of room to grow. Another one that i feel safe holding.

XBY/Xtrabytes: It´s a whole ecosystem, maybe disruptive technology and is flying under the radar for a long time. SO i think it will give some profit medium term, but long term probably a winner.

My favorite long term investment is Litecoin. It is the most well known after Bitcoin and Eth. It has a lot of trading volume and a steady price increase. The price of LTC has been following bitcoin and in my opinion, those who missed out the BTC rally should invest in it.

so looking back your IOTA killed it  going to a buck, looks like it may be rebounding now too

XRP currently catches my attention but im not staking on those coins yet since im focusing on XMR,ETH,Waves,Bytecoin,Stratis and Bitcoins although I have less balance for now but surely I will add it on my portfolio since this coin I mentioned are pretty potential to make me rich someday.

I'm pretty bearish on wave. It sure did well through the bullish price rise bitcoin prices rode on to reach all time high levels but I don't think that it has much potential to keep up at such levels.

Definitely Wave, It will be one of the biggest currencies in the world. It is enough to look at the rising of its' value.
Also when you see the project that they are planning to carry out, you are getting more excited.
That's why I think the best way to invest your money, is to invest Wave.

I'm bearish on stellar ATM. The up and coming release of tokens is likely to lead the market to quite a bit of profit taking, especially after the recent bitcoin rally that also pushed stellar prices up.

Have to agree I invested a good bit in ETC lately with all the buzz going on. your time frame sounds about right too   even longer

Stratis for me, the team is impressive and community is amazing.

Gulden IMO has a very good development team and idea behind the project. They will need some partners to scale it up, but they are doing great job so far. Really like the upside potential on this one.

Moon coin just hit 4sat from 1sat yesterday just now on coin market cap, told you to jump on it, it'll only get bigger like apple comp. Thats what you should buy on Bleutrade before it goes on Polo or Bittrex.

Ardor. It has a great tech and a great team behind it.

Currently my favorite coin for long term is Nem and Ripple, I believe both of these coins has great potential in the future to really get there.

STR is my favourite to but i'm late to buy when the price only 300 satoshi, I still believe will more high than now, just wait 2-3 week after this maybe can hits 4000 satoshi or more, Stratis is good too and also I invest in waves.

thanks to all for the great input, i have moved funds to different accounts and I am heavy in ETH ETC and playing smaller amounts in others like GNT etc. Consensus2017 really has the cryptos running.. and Zcash wow a deal with JP Morgan 

I'm a huge believer in XBY ExtraBYtes. It's completely unique in crypto how it's secures the blockchain No PoW, no POS but uses signed trusted static nodes using a technology called Chords that coordinates consensus.

Nothing like it, it will be a top 20 coin, it's just a matter of time. I don't see anything that can touch it over the coming months.

I can see this is a "thread" to pump STR in the form of a solicitation of advice, but me, I'd stay away from that piece of crap thing.  If anyone is seriously interested in holding an altcoin long term, go with the big boys.  Litecoin, doge, ETH, Ripple...and that there is about it.  There are no other coins besides bitcoin that I would ever hold for greater than 24 hours.  The rent is too damn high on those.  Bitcoin is the love of my life.  Everyone else is just crippled potential suitors, poorly bathed and with an extremely high tattoo/tooth ratio.

Lonterm investment is good . Buying altcoin and then hold it for few years can give you huge profit. But if you choose shorterm you can only earn a little amount. Many traders want to hold their altcoin for few years because they can earn a lot of money if they do that. Altcoin for longeterm investment that I have are thereum, dash, litecoin, zcash, monero, ripple , Tor . Because that altcoin have big poetntial to increase more base on my research but it depends on the demand on the market if they pump or not. But for me only they have big potential in the next few years.

Ofcourse long term investment is the best and all investor like buying a high volume of altcoins and keeping it for year would give a super high gain in your investment surely the price you buy it and you sell it is surely different so more cashback you get.
