I don't suggest anyone to just buy all top coins instead check whether they really worth for that price before wasting your hard earned money.

That's what I have been doing in the past and just believing in what the top 10 was saying. It's like going in blind and just staying with what the crowd is buying. Probably you really need to learn and understand how they are doing and what have been done when they created the coin or something.

Gambling, theoretically, is a fun , stressless thing to do to entertain ourselves and maybe get lucky on the way. Investing on the other hand is the opposite of that, its a real life job that is nerve wrecking and where you're supposed to make some money even tho it's not guaranteed that the choices you made are the right ones.

Betting in casino and investing in crytpocurrency are synonymous to gambling, the only difference is the excitement, you can always feel the thrill in casino gambling while in investing it's kinda bit of a dull moment because you are waiting for a long period of time for the outcome unlike gambling you can see the result in a matter of minute. Thats why i have never been interested in investing into ICO's in the first place, even though the ICO might be legit, there is no way to know whether it is going to be successful or not and most of them are scams as we all know. Better to hold on to your bitcoins and watch it grow than to waste money on ICO investment.

I believe that some people are still gambling because they are addicted to it or do not know how to analyze an asset or altcoin for investment and if you aim is to make good return it then means investing in bitcoin is the right thing to do now because of the high return with less risk. The odd of making profits is very low but in investing getting your capital back is easy.

I completely agree with you that nowadays it's a lot safer and potentially more profitable to invest in a coin than gamble. The main reason is that the coin's success can be predicted based on it's main features, whereas in games you mostly deal with randomness. Moreover, when the casino owners are interested in you losing the money, coin owners are in a way interested in you winning, because if a lot of people earn something from buying a coin, it will attract even more people and thus the coin creators will become rich as well.
Nevertheless, surely, as mentioned by other members above, gambling provides you a different kind of experience and trading cannot compensate that one fully, partly because everything proceeds really slow in trading in comparison with gambling.

Yes, it is a gamble, we can only make assumptions but we cannot really know what the future holds. Investing may be boring, but when considering the enlightenment that comes with it when the profit is rolling in, that is not boring bro. Gambling can be fun quite alright, but only if you have limits and you consider it just as a game. However, it depends on each person's perspective anyway.

If I had been putting all that gambling money into some legit ICOs, with the way some of them are doing right now, it would have been a shit load of cash to withdraw from my wallet. Anyways, the future is still there, just that those moments are already going down gradually unlike when we had the crazy ICO boom, but the little ones still available now can still count.

Waiting for your investment to mature so that you can cashout some profit might be pain for few gamblers so they will keep gambling rather than invest in ICO. We have to wait atleasts 6 month to get maximum out of ICO if it will be one of the successful project but if you will invest in some scam coins than you can also loss all of your investment.

Investing in an ICO or coin could be termed as a longer term bet compared to casino betting. The part where you say it is guaranteed to make more coins is absolutely rubbish as ICOs and coins have sometimes dropped to being worthless while some have been exposed to be blatant scams.

Even a good looking, highly potential ICOs are finding it hard to keep up with the current downtrend of the market and investing here is a bigger gamble than gambling on a casino game.

my reason to still gamble with cryptocurrency is that I can directly send the coin into gambling site and start to play especially I use dogecoin which the price is cheap and cheap for the fee. and yes, I make my own investment with cryptocurrency too and until now, I can take some nice profit from that.

for me, gambling is a place to get fun and enjoy the game while we can meet new people and have discussed everything. we can meet people from other country and talk each other. it has been a while for me to have fun in gambling site and I know I cannot get any money on that site unless I can have my luck is work.

It's because gambling is a real game which you play, while investments are a deal, there isn't action there. It's like putting money on your saving account at the bank, there isn't any fun on this... At same time people who gamble exclusively for money profit are mistaken, that isn't a money maker method, it's a game to have fun and to try the luck and if everything goes well, then you receive some profit.

The typical gambler profile is different from the investor profile. Gamblers who play for real already have money, while investors are trying to earn money, because they probably don't have sufficient of this to accomplish their goals in life.

More like a gamble gives you an instant gratification while an investment can take days, weeks or even years to bear fruit.

You are not 'guaranteed' anything either way. I would rather bet on something that is fun to watch and would give a profit or a loss in 1-2 hour time than bet on something that would continue for months on end with a dubious outcome. The bubble could pop overnight and you will lose more if not all of your investment. Only play with money you are comfortable losing.

Your point here is well explained and I get what you're trying to say here. Veteran traders will always say that investing is somehow a more educational type of gambling but is still within the realm of it. The risk is still high but not as high as gambling all your money with win or lose condition. The problem with gamblers (addicted ones) is that they tend to still choose the normal way of doing it (in casinos, online ones, etc). They want the thrill that is always present and readily felt when gambling in a casino. 1. they have been so addicted to gambling that they can not let go, or maybe they want to recover their defeat by playing irrationally
2 only certain people who have the ability and experience are still gambling because only the gambling that gives them a big income

Trading or investing in a way is a gamble but playing in casinos gives you a different feeling, it's fun!

Investing is boring as you will just wait for the prices to go up, i invest because of the passive income, I gamble because it is thrilling and fun.

Gambling is different enjoyment than investing. Becuase not everyone like only one kind of game so each person will choose to play different games to get their enjoyment. So if you want to have that fun then only you should need to go to gambling.

But if you want to earn money then what you said is true. We shouldn't go to gambling to earn money. I also, don't think that those price volatility will give same thrill like gambling games give gamblers.

I go to gambling sometimes to get fun with a small amount and invest money in altcoins and bitcoin to earn profits in the long run.

WHY STILL GAMBLE with Cryptocurrency?

Maybe for the fun and thrills?
You got me there: I like (or used) to gamble also and the thrills and the fun of (Bitcoin) gambling is still...unbeaten.

But for any other reason like doubling, trippling...or even 10x winning back your investment/stake...why would you still want to gamble that?
The chances/odds are bigger that you will loose them gambling...while the chances/odds are the same (probably bigger) that you would increase them while investing.

Why not 'bet' on any cryptocurrency of your choice?

A new promising ICO.
Or a coin you like.
Or think is technically good.
Or is hyped.
Has a great name/logo/website.

Any reason is valid enough!

The point is:
You are 'guaranteed' to make more coins with investing in a coin...than actually gambling with that same amount.

Just a reminder for those like me, who have bet and lost more than they would have (and still will) if they just invested that same amount!
With crypto's being so volatile...the thrill and fun is still there also...but it is a bit less, yes.
