I'm afraid to invest cause I don't have any programming background. Some say that I need it, some just advise to try and figure out if it's crucial.

So, I decided to try to invest. Maybe some of you know platform/project which requires no programming skills or at least has super simple interface and other stuff?

Cinfideal's ico started 2/11. I've already invested some money. What about u? Have u invested in something?)

I think that everything has now simplified specially for investors like you, I mean, the developers of a project will giving you a complete guide on how to either withdraw and invest your money.
It's as easy as transferring money and even easy for beginner.
Programming skills is just pretty much unnnecessary in this case unless you want to create your own project, or making up a new coin or else.

You  dont need any programming skill to invest you just need the basic knowledge when you want to invest, let's say ypu want to invest in bitcoin you need to know what is bitcoin, what is the one that cause bitcoin's price to change, if you want to invest in alt coins, you need to search what kind of features that the coin offered and how long the coin can survive, so programming skill is not too important the most important is the knowledge so you won't be scammed and your analysis skill

I think these are the rules for everything if you want to start anything you must have knowledge about it otherwise you can do that work simple this rules are here when you want to invest here so you must know about investment if you have no idea how to invest and how to get profit so definitely you can lose your money so you need a program for it.

Investing in cryptocurrency is not for programmers only. The platforms are understandable, all details is highly visible and degraded to a lower language that is more user friendly. If you have much confusion, asked the support team they will gladly open and happy to serve you. Don’t be fool by those painting bitcoin investments that has a hard platform interface because it’s untrue.

Basic programming skills is a plus but not necessary, speculative ingenuity is more likely the key.

You don't need to have any programming background to invest into bitcoin unless you are looking to start an ICO of your own. If you are just going to invest in btc and hold it, only the basic knowledge in it is needed in order for one to profit here. The same goes when one only wanted to invest into altcoins. Knowledge in trading is only what one needs in order to gain profit in this field. To learn more about altcoin trading, go to altcoin discussion you will learn more there.

But you will know the investment process and learn more information for the investing. So you analice the before you invest. It helpful your improve and lean more information for the future investment and get the more profit. So improve you skill before investment. skill will be help for some issue you will know how to handle the issues. So killl is important for the future investment.

It's strange for me to hear that one should have programming skills for trading. I think it's better to have poker-game skills for trading/investing. Professional poker-gamers know what risks are, they have patienence, they know that loss is a part of game and it's ok, but you always should have money background to come tomorrow and continue.

you need to have programming skills to create app, smart contract or our own blockchain platform...but for investing is nor required
btw more and more ICO based on idea to make all this technology closer to people, so very soon you can create a smart contract without coding skills
read about etherparty and confideal
I'd imagine that those who need smart contracts are capable of creating them without any help.

Do you know what kind of applications normal people would use smart contracts for?

Regardless whether you have some background about programming or none, you can still invest in cryptocurrency. Programming is crucial in creating a coin or a cryptocurrency because it lives on the digital world, however, investing in it will not require programming skills. Though it might help you to decide what cryptocurrency will you invest in.

Investing in crypto is just like investing in penny stocks because both market is highly volatile but if you are only investing in top trading alts than you will not have risk of losing all your investment because of scam projects like in penny stocks. Storing alts securely for short/long term and sending alts in/out of the exchange might require few basic tips but its not all about programming skills.

I also don't have any programming skills but I am trading crypto for more than a year.

I think a major in business is the most suitable or accountant for investing and maintaining your money well but I think yes if a person have a willingness to learn I think he can sure obtain a skill in analysing what is good and bad to make investment from, you don't need programming skills or anything but sure thing that you need is courage in taking up the risk because without risk you can not succeed in investing because it will sure involve a great risk and like a gamble that you would sure win or lose anytime.
A major in business is bullshit and a waste of time. If you really want to understand how the world works study Mathematics or at least Statistics and then apply what you've learned to real world problems - which are just Math problems with different names. Meanwhile, a business major is full of silly essays and story telling, completely useless for understanding new situations.

I am not sure what you would like to invest to that you need a programming skills. In some software company or where? I dont think you need programming skills to buy Goggle shares.

If you plan to invest in Bitcoins Store of Value. You dot need any unusually skills. You need to know how to read, to be able to learn how to properly safely store them. That is all.   Bitcoin is just the money. Is meant fro everyone to use. Everyone!!!

As an investor, knowledge of the Business, the Team, the marketing, the product, the market, the Forks that at coming, and your general financial knowledge on investing are more important.

The only real technical thing that you need to know is to learn how to setup the Wallets, how to receive/transfer, how to use the exchange, how not to get scammed!

Programming is only relevant for trading, since - if done right - it's much more accurate and more time efficient than trading manually.

For investing you "just" need to properly research what you are investing in and analyze the market, market potential and possible market shares and then make a band of good and bad price predictions. Repeat this for multiple investments and balance your portfolio out until you're happy with the "worst case" scenario and potential gains.

For investing you really don't need to have any coding skills
But to use some projects - it is necessary as i know.  To create smart contracts you need to know base of programming, in Ethereum for sure

The reason people suggest learning how to read programming languages is so that you can compare an alt coins source code. This is a strong indicator or an altcoins seriousness about its future. However, you can get this information elsewhere, so knowing how to read programming languages is not essential to invest, no.

While I do have some programming skills, I fail to understand why would you need them when you invest or trade.
I never used bots for this - I may be a bit paranoid about security, but I don't trust them - and the user interface is made (has to be made!) for everyone.
Yes, some exchanges have better interface than others. You should really find the exchange you like more and try there.
Poloniex and Bittrex interfaces I used most, but Cryptopia or Tidex looks good too. But my advice is to check them all, my taste may differ from your taste.

You don't need any programming background to register in a trading platform and invest either be in crypto or stocks. Most of the users in crypto don't have any technical skill you only need to know the basics things like register in an exchange and then watch some youtube videos about that exchange if you having any issues using it because they are different from one to another.

Not only the stock market, but also the crypto market has a lot of individuals who manage to achieve great results without deep technical understanding. However, the less you know about the different crypto technologies, the more you will be depending on the luck fator, which is a very bad thing. I recommend you to learn as much as you can before venturing though this market, and improve every day.

No, you don't need programming knowledge to invest, however, I would suggest being familiar with some basics of how bitcoin and blockchain works. There are a lot of materials around the Internet for those without programming skills. Often, it's crucial to firstly examine the team and the whitepaper when investe into ICO (I think you assumed ICO's under "investing")
