I doubt Satoshi ever bought any coins. I mean, I am quite sure he never did. But he invested much more than money, of course.
Well, he clearly had his money where his mouth was.
"some coins" will be valued thousands of dollars in the near future, Satoshi was really right, nice prediction.
Just read this gem written by Satoshi on the 17th January 2009:
