I am recently watching videos about investing and financial freedom. I usually hear people like Tony Robbins say that compound interest is such a great thing. It is a wise way to invest your money for a long period of time. I have heard it from several others as well. But I have no idea which investments give us compound interest. I was hoping if you guys know about it and I would be very happy to be educated about it. I am in my early 20s and want to make right decisions for secure and prosperous present and future. I would really appreciate your words and advises. Thanks
Yes indeed compound interest is a great income to earn passively. However, I would just recommend to you holding your bitcoin instead of trying to invest to some sites that are relatively unknown to others. Heck, if someone made a site where you can invest which gives out compound interest, id doubt anyone would not know about it.
But I have no idea which investments give us compound intere
Best example would be banks. Banks pay compound interest on deposits which inherently benefits the depositors of that bank.
I agree with this because some sites are not trusted or scam. Actually it was hard to find trustworthy site which you can invest with compound interest. Banks are really the best thing if you want a secure money.  But on the other side, holding for a long time can still give you more interest especially when the value of it pump.

Compound interest is actually a lot beneficial and profitable if you know how to handle it.

Earning a compound interest is not usually an easy task and you really need to be much professional as well as dedicated to the field you are earning the compound interest into. Compound interest can be defined shortly as "Interest on Interest" which seems a lot difficult to inculcate.

The most easiest example of compound interest is mentioned below:
If you had $0.01 at the starting of the month and if it would doubt everyday for a month(which actually is called compound interest) than you would have $5,368,709.12 at the end of the month. This is actually the power of compound interest.

Compound interest is not my preferred investment type. I don't think he's delivering too much return. It attracts the attention of the people and then the project can go at the bottom price. It can be used for an advertisement other than its purpose.

Though investment with compound interest is a great thing, unfortunately it doesn't work that way here in crypto currency. You may be a new one but you have to deal with this risk if you wanna gain big though the income here ain't sure, and time taking but once the price spike up surely the profit you'll get here won't just be x2 but more than from it. Or in addition mate, try to minimize your investment, invest in crypto while finding a system with compound interest.

I'll argue that it does work in crypto and I'll give you an example.
You get a PoS altcoin and get rewards every day. Those rewards are added to your wallet and increase your stake. The rewards are growing as more coins are being staked. This is exactly compound interest in the crypto sphere.

Until now, I have not found an investment system that is really real (not MLM / HYIP), only mining and oxbtc genesis are still running. but a small profit. maybe you can choose investments in exchange with the Lending system. I think this is better. because guaranteed safety. for now I only know that Poloniex has this system. which of your coins will be lent to the borrower (on margin) and at an interest rate that you set yourself.
Even I have not yet came across any such genuine deal offering compound interest for a fixed interval of time. I am sure the date, any genuine firm launches a compound interest scheme for the community it would be over flooded by the investors as most of the investors are in need of such offer where they could be enabled to earn a compound interest for a fixed time for the amount they invest. For sure, there are hundreds of such deals on the internet today but I doubt any of those is really working.

They would only eat up your money so it is never an option. Also platforms where we could lend our bitcoins or any other coin does not present compound interest as the profits there are fixed and are only calculated on the initial amount invested and not on the entire amount for the time span which keeps on rising.

If you have bitcoins or any other top coin then hold them, frankly speaking, hodling will give you more profit than investing it somewhere and getting scammed. If you want a suggestion on Hyip then everyone here would tell you not to invest in them even if they have paid someone. If you really want to lend the bitcoins then go here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=65.0 and lend with keeping collateral.

I think interest is a threat to economies around the world. In this case cryptocurrency markets do not want to see it. Because interest is an obstacle to investments. Provides easier earnings for people. The rich gets richer, the poor gets poorer.

In crypto, casino investment is the only legit way to achieve compound interest that I'm aware of, however these opportunities become more and more rare, because the market is quite saturated already and casino owners have earned enough profits to run their own bankrolls or rely only on existing investors. So, if it means that there's only smaller/newer gambling sites doing it, then I'd be very cautious about investing in them, because of the risks of exit scams.

Compound interest is the expansion important to the chief entirety of an advance or store, or at the end of the day, enthusiasm on intrigue. It is the aftereffect of reinvesting premium, as opposed to paying it out, so enthusiasm for the following time frame is then earned on the chief total in addition to recently collected premium.
Compound interest is available in stock market and insurance.  I will advise you to consult investment professionals for more information.

It doesn't make sense to pursue interest-bearing investments. Interest rates may change day by day. It makes more sense to buy precious metals like gold. The interest system is a disadvantage of current markets. Slows investment. I don't like the interest business at Cryptocurrency.

Compound interest do exists on crypto world as well you guys are aware of that right? Like the biggest example is, if you have 100 coins of any staking coin, you will get lets say 1 coin (these are all examples) and then you will have 101 and you will stake accordingly. Your extra coin that you staked doesn't go to somewhere else, it goes directly to your wallet and you keep staking that way.

Masternodes are similar as well but you need to save enough for another masternode which sometimes takes a long time, however staking is instant and at the moment as soon as you stake. So you can actually do compound interest thing in crypto world as well, all you have to do is find a good proof of stake coin and just let it be and in decades you will be rich without doing anything at all.

Banks offer this kind of option but unfortunately, you need millions to see a good profit, I don't recommend online investment program because there's a huge risk involved on it, like some posters here, I recommend buying Bitcoin instead it's far more a great way to invest because of the huge profit when there is a huge pump, but of course, the market is very volatile it's one of the risk that you have to take.

I can't forget the first time I have ever heard of what compound interest was. I was checking "richest fictional characters" and there was a lot of characters in the list, from scrooge mcduck to tony stark there was a lot of people involved in the list and all of them made their money reasonably realistic stuff that won't happen because of many things but not unrealistic. The most realisticly rich person? Twilight had a "father" figure with all the cullens, I forgot the fathers name but that dude was alive for over hundreds of years, which means dude could have put his money aside and with the interest he made from that dude was capable of becoming one of the richest fictional characters ever written, think about putting 100 dollars into a savings account right now and what it will be in 400 years if you don't touch it.

Maybe you and I don't have that much time, but putting money into a compounding interest savings account and not touching it for 10-20-30-40-50 years (all gets bigger and bigger) means you will be at least leaving your kids something, its not a method to become rich yourself, but if two generations don't touch it for 100 years combined, third generation will most certainly be rich and this requires nothing but just "not touching it".

But I don't think it is best way to make more money, its better to invest on stocks for longer terms is more profitable than investing on schemes with compound interests.

Here are some places where you can find that they use the compound interest

Banks
Some bonds
Money market accounts
Certificate of deposits
Zero coupon bonds

Etc...
Most places especially the governmental ones pay money in compound interest , simple interest is rarely used there.

I think also in the bank using a similar method? But you can invest in Bitcoins or altcoins that can benefit for the long-term.

Compounding is truly a superlative tool that rich people enjoy. for compounding, in our opinion we should make financial investments in the stock market and stay away from the crypto market.
In the stock market, there are companies that do business well, they will pay dividends to you and the bigger the fund, the more money you will receive. and after 10 years or 20 years, that amount will be unbelievably huge.

that compound interest is such a great thing

Conpound interest is one of the most greatest invention of economist.

Compound interest is probably one of the best ways to make money

I don't understand. Isn't that just reinvesting?
You can either take the income, or invest it in whole or in part. What is so special about this?

I check the definition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_interest
Quote
Compound interest is the addition of interest to the principal sum of a loan or deposit, or in other words, interest on interest. It is the result of reinvesting interest, rather than paying it out, so that interest in the next period is then earned on the principal sum plus previously accumulated interest. Compound interest is standard in finance and economics.

But you describe everything as if you discovered some kind of grail.

Compound interest is one of the best investment options though, you achieve a lot more profit compared to simple interest investment options, and it's such a good investment that I've actually rarely seen investments that offer those sort of interest rates.

Think I did get the 2 terms mixed up, compound interest isn't reinvesting, that's my bad, and there are no locked investment periods for compound interest.

Compound interest is really great only if you're benefitting in the interest. Since the interest you'll be getting are increasing annually unlike simple interest with the same interest rate every year. But if you're the one paying with compound interest, it's a no no for me.

I don't know where can you find compound interest in an investment. I don't know if banks would give compound interest with investment since it's a big expense for them... But in crypto, if it is increasing, you don't have to wait annually to earn. You just have to know how to handle your investment in crypto.

Compound Interest is nothing but Interest earned on reinvesting the interest already earned. Sounds complicated?? Suppose you have $100 in your pocket and you decide to invest it into a bank. Bank gives you 8% interest per annum compounded annually. Now, the thing is at the end of first year you would have $110 as you have earned 10% interest. Now you decide to let the money stay as it is and reinvest it. Now the bank would give you interest @10% on $110 because that is your new principal at start of year. So the interest will be $11 instead of $10. This is the compounding effect. This effect grows as the time duration grows. Every investment can give you compounding effect if you don't en-cash your earnings and use it somewhere else. Best investments using compound effect are Mutual funds, shares etc.
It is not complicated at all but our school system don't teach us how it works. Compound interest is one of the most powerful tools that investors have in their own hands. But I just can't agree with you on shares. The only situation where shares can give you possibility to start compounding is if you're investing in dividend bearing stocks

I am using that myself, I have a bank account that basically pays me daily interest rates the longer I keep the money in my bank account, I used to use them a lot more but right now bitcoin is looking really low so I wanted to put all my money into bitcoin, as of right now I am even at a profit because I bought at under 8k but the danger hasn't passed.

Back on the compounding interest, it does help you a bit more, I mean regular interest is where you put your money and they give you an interest, but on compounding interest you basically get interest on your interest as well each day, whatever I earned from the investment yesterday will be added to todays' money as well. So, instead of giving 1000 dollars to bank and get 1020 dollars in a month, I just keep it daily and get more.

Compound interest is really a great thing! Try investing $ 1 per day (this is one un-drunk cup of coffee), at 13% per annum and see what happens in 3-5 years.
You can also invest in bitcoin, and preferably in several cryptocurrencies at once (from the top 20). However, there is always a risk of being left with nothing.

Have a think about what you're actually investing in before blindly deciding to do so simply because you can "compound" your investment.

Sometimes earning simple interest or capital gain can far outperform interest that is compounding but low.

Essentially, anything can be compounded if you simply reinvest your earnings back into the investment vehicle. Equities with dividends, bonds with coupons, anything of that sort. Again, the frequency of compounding and the ROI figures should be what you look at, not just a binary yes/no.

This is one of my favorite quotation from Albert Einstein as I started investing in stocks and Crypto. Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it, he who doesn't, pays it. As time passes by the value of Investment  good investment like in real estates company or food companies grows and the demand requires a increase it that product cost. Compound Interest suits in crypto but more in stock market and some Vul since they are already established and if we only want our investment to grow in span of time.

in my opinion such an investment may be an agreement between the two parties, when they will make a partnership and make an offer how much will be obtained per year / other time period. I think banks use the same method, but maybe a smaller amount.

It has a good effect and bad effect to you. The good one is that Compounding Interest is the best and safest way in making investment to achieve great amount of profit. Just always monitor the security and make sure that you're patient when it comes to investing your money.

But the bad thing is that there are lot of scams in doing investments. It's very hard to find an honest borrower nowadays due to scammers in our society.

Compound interest is probably one of the best ways to make money, setting a set term, and then just watch the money roll in, but this investment options like these are hard to come by, unless your going for pretty risky investments.

Most compound interest options I've seen are in trust funds/venture capital funds where the profit you make gets instantly put back in the project, and then after a set amount of time you get everything back.

I have not encountered such an offer here in crypto. There are investments here but I think they are not offering compound interests. Binance for example is offering a lending investment. You can also invest in gambling sites. Please check if the interest they are providing is compound or not. If not, then you will manage it in a way that gives you more or less the same amount as if you are investing with a compound interest. If you have the option to withdraw your earned interest immediately, you may do so and invest them as an additional to your capital. In that way, the earning is increasing as the capital is also increasing.

The investment that you will yield in a compound interest is significantly big but it requires a significant of time also. Most people plan their retirements with investments such as these in order to have a large sum once they reach the age of retirement (or depending on the plan initiated). You regularly deposit pay a monthly or annual fee (monthly is better and will result to a larger sum) and recover the proceeds at the end of the plan.

Conpound interest is one of the most greatest invention of economist. Yes it is a great way to invest, but for a long term. Compound interest really creates great profits if handles wisely and invested properly. You can go to stock market or insurances which fully utilizes the use of compound interest. Bitcoins does not work that way so you can't really apply it here unless you can convince someone to agree with you.

The difference between cryptocurrency and compound interest is the manner of investing. The former may require HODL while the latter requires a regular intervals of deposit into a fund that will accumulate in time. Compound interest can be considered the best type of investment IF you start early.

I know the concept of the Compound Interest. I haven't yet found a investment or a place where I can get a Compound interest !!! Well are there any legit online places where I can get C.I for my investment.

We have just released our first integration with the Compound system on our non-custodial Eidoo wallet.
Now you can swap your DAI with cDAI tokens and get the compound interest (now it's more than 8%)

https://en.cryptonomist.ch/2019/09/30/defi-eidoo-dai/

If you need more info just let me know  Wink

Isn't this the same thing as cryptocurrency staking?

I get the feeling I'm misunderstanding something here. Please put me out of my misery and explain! Don't all banks pay compound interest by default? If an interest rate is consistent, at whatever %, let's say 10% again, you invest $1 million, then after 1 round of interest you get $100k, so you now have $1.1m, then after the next round of interest you get 10% on your $1.1m, i.e. $110k, and so on. For so long as you keep your money in there, the amound you get as interest increases each time. This is the basis of compound interest, isn't it?

I think banks system don't work like that, at least for regular  savings account, they have a fix plan for savings and you can only get an interest on that amount regardless how much extra you put  in your savings account. Lower than that allocated amount won't get you any interest.  Well that is how the bank staff tells me about their savings policy, but I think it is different on their time deposit plan where compounding interest is enabled.

Compounding interest is indeed the best way to get maximum return out of your investment. But unfortunately no banks offer such investment avenue to commoners!

I do have a tendency to post when drunk (doing it again, sorry), so feel free to shoot me down... but isn't compound interest just interest on interest? i.e., it's compounded? So $1m at 10% becomes $1.1m, becomes $1.21m, becomes $1.33m (or thereabouts), becomes $1.46m (ish), becomes something like $1.60m? So long as you leave your original capital in there, and you leave the interest accured so far in there, then by default you get interest on the interest, so the amount of interest increases each time.

Thanks

Compounding interest is indeed the best way to get maximum return out of your investment. But unfortunately no banks offer such investment avenue to commoners! They use simple interest  formula to calculate the return which is paid at quarterly or annually directly to your savings account and not in the investment account.

However, don't get disheartened! Rather, invest in blue chip stocks for longer time. Here longer term means really long, at least 10 years! There are some good stocks in the market which pays regular dividends. Make sure to invest those dividends back into the market without spending them for enjoyment. Such kind of investments often fecth much higher return than traditional investments.

Compound Interest is one of the safest way to invest your money because there's a guarantee that your money will increase its value by the percentage that you will accumulate annually by the bank that you deposited. Let say your current principal is $2000 and you hold it a year, the interest rate is 5% yearly the compound interest is 3 times annually that would be $2,101.68. That's a sure increase of money unlike investing in cryptocurrency there is no assurance that the price will still the same.

I think that everyone who takes out loans in bitcoins is a Scam. If you need money for your business then you can contact the Bank and take out a loan in Fiat. It will be much more profitable. This year bitcoin has shown growth rates of 700%. And that's without interest on the loan. What business has such profitability? I do not believe that it is possible to find an honest borrower.

It's an option to invest in a reputable Bitcoin casino perhaps?
You keep gaining interest on top of what you've previously earned and you can just keep your investment there for a couple of months or years.

There's a thread in the Securities section of the forum of someone who invested in a couple of coins at Crypto-Games and he documents his profits for every coin.

Take a look if you're interested:

I wish there are such investments too, but sadly, things in life don't come for free. If you search up 'bitcoin investment sites', I bet all of them are scam and will run away with your money in the future. Those sites 'promise' high returns over months, with unrealistic rates of interest.

Ok, think about it this way. Where do they get their money from? You may think that you 'invest' in them so that they can make more money, but if so, why would they share it with you? They can just get that rates themselves and become quadrillionaires in a decade.

So, try not to 'invest' in any sites. However, there are lending sites that gives you small amount of interest, but it isn't worth the risks and the possible fees.
Poloniex is an example: https://poloniex.com/lending#BTC

Just check this board called investor-based games and see the scams for yourself. Smiley

Honestly, Bitcoin is a good investment, so by holding bitcoin, you are getting 'interest'.
