  BTC-E  response:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting BTC-e.

You added this IP to the White list of IP addresses 83.........It looks like you're using a different IP now. Please choose the stated IP to log in (83.........). After that you'll be able to add other IPs to the White list of IPs.
If you add at least one IP-address to the white list of IP addresses, you won’t be able to access your account from other IP addresses that are not included in this list.
After adding / removing an IP address, withdrawals on your account will be blocked for 2 days for security reasons.
Please note that the settings will be applied the next time you log into your account. All of the old unsecured sessions (including the current one) will still have access to your account from any address.
This list does not apply to your API keys access. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact us again.
Best Regards,
BTC-e Support

My IP is static until I reset my router, which I just did for the first time in a few months.

So...? If I'm using a new IP now, why would it already be banned? (unless the person who had it before me was trying to hack BTC-E  Cheesy )

Is there no way to become unbanned? I don't want to have to resort to VPN's just to access my funds on BTC-E...

I assume your IP is dynamically allocated by your ISP. I'm sure there is a short term fix, but long term fix would be to get a static IP.

Hi Everyone,

Apparently my IP address has just been banned by BTC-E.

I only visit the site once a week or so. I'm a savvy computer user (don't download stupid stuff, completely ignore suspicious e-mails, etc) so I don't see how my computer could possibly be compromised and participating in a DDoS attack.

Any ideas?  The "you have been banned" page gave me error number 1008.
