Sorry to know about your loss.(What happened with you is a direct scam (buyer paid, but seller ran away) and it's usual.
But there are much more things you need to know as a buyer before you intend to buy again Google cloud accounts, Aws, Vultr, DO etc.
Such as, these type of accounts have a chance to get blocked at some point.
Some seller give 10-month validity and some seller gives 12-month validity but in reality, the account may get blocked in a few days and you just lost your money.
So always ask about the policy of refund, escrow, replacement, warranty, account validity with a straight answer. If you are convinced then make a deal.
ESCROW is a must unless the seller is reputed. Avoid self-moderated and locked sales threads.
A newbie with a self-moderated thread... offering $300 worth of account for $6? That couldn't be more scammy if the thread title was "This is a scam" 
Be thankful that you only lost $6... I assume the 1 negative feedback on his "shoppy" is from you? That's about all that can be done in this instance. Why on earth do people keep sending these scammers money?
