Just turn it off in Settings>General>Keyboard.

IMO, leave the "Check Spelling" option on, it's quite useful sometimes. It will only underline those word you've typed wrongly instead of autocorrecting everything.

Just go Settings =>General => Keyboards => Auto correct and turn it off.
I'm not 100% sure about those names because my iPhone isn't English but that should work.

Meh. None of that seems like a workable solution. Adding words to your phonebook to it learns them? I'm not going to fill my contacts up with random words like 'do' and 'are' etc.

Does anyone know how to stop the iPhone from autocorrecting certain words? Every time I correctly type 'do' it automatically changes it to 'so' and also 'are' to 'ate' and 'of' to' it' amongst others.

And yeah, yeah crappy iPhone blah blah, but it's an old 3s and it's on it's way out and I won't be going back to Apple once it does.
