Saudi Arabia and Katar are financing and supporting them..They probably didn't count on Russian systems and intervention.
Most likely they will hire mercenaries. Saudi Army does not have balls.

That is what they are doing in Yemen. They have hired thousands of mercenaries from all over the world, with soldiers being shipped in from Sudan, Colombia, Pakistan, Gambia, and Comoros. Local media is claiming that the Blackwater guys have been hired to give training to these mercenaries. But still, the Houthis are kicking their ass.

The Saudi claims are laughable. With all the advanced weaponry supplied by the United States, Canada and the other NATO nations, the Saudi Armed Forces are still getting their asses kicked by the Houthis in Yemen. Now remember that the Houthis are armed with just AK-47s and RPGs. Imagine how they will perform against the well trained regime forces in Syria.

Let's be honest, no nation has been able to successfully invade another since ww2 apart from China no?
USA tried many times but always failed and got their debt bigger and bigger and the pockets of weapons manufacturers fuller and fuller ^^
Define successfully. We (the US) invaded Iraq successfully.
Wow. I think you're the first one I ever met who dared claim that US successfully invaded Irak xD

Arab states' military support needed to avoid defeat, says Syrian opposition

Opposition fighters in Aleppo’s besieged east have said they are counting on the military support of Arab states, which announced they will send ground forces to Syria to save them from defeat at the hands of Russian bombers and pro-Assad militias.

With the war now in a decisive phase, rebel groups said they cannot hold ground without similar weapons and manpower to those of the Assad loyalists who continue to narrow a gap around the north of the city, while thousands more refugees made their way to the Turkish border.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE all committed over the weekend to sending ground forces to join the conflict. However, the extent of their mooted commitments has yet to be confirmed amid sustained pressure from allies, including the US, to keep any deployment largely symbolic.

Let the Saudi Army go to Syria to depend their dog ISIS. I'm very curious how they would deal the battle hardened Hezbollah and Iran's Elite Quds Force. Not counting the Russians who already installed the AS400 and advance Electronic Warfare Device.

Lol they wouldn't, they would flee like dogs!

Or stay and "train" the local resistance which is another word to say "uselessly appear to do things".

With all the wealth they have, oil reserves and military technology. They are still pussies after all - maybe can't decide for themselves.

Iran has got it right. The Saudis talk the great fight but when it comes to actually doing the business they become great runners. This is where the US will make a few billion dollars pocket money. They will get between the Iranians and Saudis and play big brother.

The Saudis are being really stupid,They are already well on the wrong side of Russia. They need to keep quiet and not draw attention to themselves,Their own crimes in Yemen have to be accounted for. The Israelis must be laughing their socks off but soon it will be their turn. The Yinon plan has been adapted to include israel as well.

Bravo Iran! The war in Syria is not a civil war, it is just another US driven regime change war. Remember how we  improved Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya?

Yeah sorry we go out of our country to try to bring some kind of civilisation...

Though I admit we'd better stay in our country and take care of our people!

hey you, yeah you, fuck you!!!
DUBAI — The head of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guard said on Saturday Saudi Arabia lacked the courage to go through with a plan to send ground troops to Syria, and warned they would be wiped out if they went in.

Mohammad Ali Jafari's blunt words on the Fars news agency were Iran's first official reaction to a statement from its regional rival Saudi Arabia this week that it was ready to join ground operations in Syria if a U.S.-led military alliance decided to start them.

"(The Saudis) have made such a claim but I don't think they are brave enough to do so ... Even if they send troops, they would be definitely defeated ... it would be suicide,” Jafari was quoted as saying.

Iran has already sent forces to Syria to back its ally President Bashar al-Assad in his country's five-year-old civil war. Washington and its allies have backed rebels fighting Assad and say he must eventually step down.
