This is a very fashionable trend for many countries. And Iran is no exception. Remember Venezuela with their national cryptocurrency. At the same time, these currencies turn out to be centralised, which is fundamentally contrary to the principles of the cryptocurrency world.

Well, I heard many good people on technology & science coming from Iranian. So, I hope they can more open-minded about Bitcoin and another cryptocurrency. Based on that article, it seems they banned Bitcoin but want to adopt the Blockchain technology for their banking system. That issue also happened in my country.  Cheesy

Beautiful words from the authorities of the totalitarian regime. Once the crypto currency is a threat to their regime - immediately followed by a ban and the fight against new technologies. But in the end they will lose and the future will come sooner than they think

Bobby Fischer was right
Another centralized coin with only one aim of controlling every transaction in the country
My thoughts exactly. That's just simple, blunt opportunism from this so called "government" or rather mobsters and criminals?
I do hope that their coin will hit rock bottom, taking few banksters along with it. It looks so damn stupid and futile now but I got a feeling there will be some "investors" there, sad but true... I wish you pain and suffering, all the worst for new Iranian crypto-scam  Grin

I hope they have better coders than their maintenance teams at the minister of disinformation and technology

Iran hit by global cyber attack that left U.S. flag on screens

Another centralized coin with only one aim of controlling every transaction in the country after they just banned fiat exchanges and taken steps against bitcoin also.

Their own currency is going down the same as the bolivar and they want to prop it up the same futile way.

Defend Bitcoin and its PoW: bitcoincleanup.com
The power of cryptocurrency can offer a lot of hope and freedom, but also be a safe haven for nefarious scams and a front for manipulation. It's up to us to try to tell the difference.

He said we joint before institute of information and communications technology with Iran central bank finance and money research institute and plus Iran Post bank for blockchain project, and on last week meeting to check progress I found Iran cryptocurency is launched as pilot.
