personally i think its  not a  good idea to trade on irc, coz there is no trust factor.
we donot know whom we are dealing with (almost true in every other media) and the seller has got nothing to loose not even his rep.
i suggest atleast initiate the deal on forum and then continue to negotiate via irc.

Like trades every where on Bitcointalk always use Escrow.

Simply go to :-  http://irc.lc/freenode/taproom and choose a nickname.

Note of Caution : Sellers please register your nick names on freenode :- http://freenode.net/faq.shtml#registering

Buyers please verify the user you are talking to is the actual person using a registered nick name
