I got excited thinking it was released already when I saw the thread... I just can't wait to try out the new client which they say loads 700% times faster due libsecp256k1. Man it's just a pain in the ass to open core right now for me, but when it gets released I will use it daily.

February is the proposed final release, but if you want it before then, you'll either have to compile whatever code has been committed to GitHub, or ask someone else to compile it for you (and trust that they haven't added anything malicious in there).

I have seen some guys here talking about 0.12 as if it was already released, but in the official website is not there. I am guessing they got it from somewhere else as a non official final release. If so, where can I test the up and coming versions even if they aren't final (posted in Bitcoin.org)?
