Compare rates on different exchanges & swap.
Not sure about the market we are trending towards (although for me it felt bear the last 2-3 months) I would say you are probably correct. One thing is certain ICOs got too greedy and now it is costing a lot of them in their

own ways.

I agree totally. Same thing with crypto. I bet few years back skeptic and noobs had thesame feelings about the Crypto World. Most people seem to be a bit OK with the idea these days.
Bitcoin and few other Altcoins are the only real Cryptos. That shouldn't make us discard the idea of Cryptocurrency.
ICOs will definitely go through thesame route, great companies will emerge in the end.

The crowdsale seem to be taking a hit because of its largely unregulated nature. It has given room to a lot of scams and its attendant effect. There are a lot of people out there whose enthusiasm about digital currencies would be dampened on account of such disruptive activities. This should be the reason why most recent ICOs are falling short of expectations. However, I do not think that that should have a negative impact on bitcoin unless government whose stance has always been belligerent move against bitcoin on the pretext of investor protection. Even at that, we have witnessed bitcoin's ability to withstand adversity on national level and bounce back. We shall be witnessing more value increase far into next year from the look of things.

when participating in an ICO, you need an Ethereum wallet, you need ETH in your wallet and to invest in it, most of them time you only need ETH and sometimes you can additionally pay with bitcoin.
if ICO market goes down, ETH is the one that takes the biggest hit. maybe bitcoin sees some effects too but nothing major, the bitcoin market is so much bigger than these ICO investments. which is why i don't expect any kind of bear market in bitcoin because this.

Hello everyone,
Recently we see a lot of ICO tokens trading below cost of ICO on first day of trading.
Some ICO projects are even called off due to lack of interest.
There seems to be a negative vibe spreading quickly among investors, slowly engulfing the whole ICO market.

Let me ask you one simple thing...
Why should I use tokens like cartaxi or wings or enigma or anything else when I can use bitcoin?
What is the point of token for chat/taxi/milk/bus/plane/garbage/kfc/burgerking/subway/subway(metro)/diapers

I've hardly seen an ICO that really had a plan other than getting rich fast for the launchers.

Please name (and not just you) a successful coin or token launched via an ICO that is USED in daily life (not just for trading)
Let's have a list of them

Some ICO fail because they were not able to reach the hard cap while some just intentionally want to scam investors. The best thing to do before investing in any ICO   is to carry out proper investigation about the project.

I don't think so. Bitcoin and ICOs are only loosely connected. One's rise has no bearing over the other.

ICOs are being dragged through the mud with all the controversies and regulations surrounding them. It's pretty much already public knowledge that the overwhelming majority of them are scams. On the other hand, people are warming up towards Bitcoin. Bitcoin won't be bearish just because ICOs are slowly being exposed.

it is true that many ICO tokens are now emerging, and the selling price is below the opening price of ICO, if we want to invest in ICO project we must be more careful to choose ICO which has a good future for investment purposes in the long term because buying ICO tokens is in terms of profit of us get the benefits of ICO tokens prizes.

More and more people started realizing that most ICO's are just scams, so it is even expected that altcoins and tokens might crash soon. As of recently, we've seen almost no influence on Bitcoin's price from ICO's - when they were banned in China and other countries, the price of Bitcoin was very stable. People no longer buy Bitcoin to participate in ICO's, because all ICO's are run on Ethereum these days, so ETH is the coin that is the most likely to dip due to negative events on ICO market.

There's realistic need for 2 - 3 ICOs per month.

  • Because community is capable of support only small number of ICOs.
  • There's only so much innovation, that you can come up with. Other ICOs are just copies.

Unfortunately there's like 100 ICOs per month. So you will see 97 of them fail. But it doesn't mean, that ICOs are doomed and it's the end of ICOs.

Is this a precursor to a long bitcoin bear market like those we observed a few year ago? Or would bitcoin be rising out of this uncertainty in ICO market unaffected?

What do you think?
