Topic: Is a single 24gb RTX 3090 EAGLE OC gonna match 3 GeForce 8gb RTX 3060 Ti V2 ? (Read 110 times)

I'm hestitent to go used cuz these get beat up in this use.
The price of the new RTX2060 is at a similar price/GB as the 3060 eagle.... I don't mind the small premium for the future-proofness and lifespan compared to used.

What I DON'T know is : what other 24gb card can I compare?
How do I determine the electricity use of a card?

And what is "MH"? Or maybe ist just "M"? I see discussion about this but can't see how to determine it from the ads for the gpu.....
Buy better video cards from the rtx3060 and rtx3070 series. They have very low power consumption and LHR restrictions only apply to coins with Ethash and Autolykos (Ergo) algorithms.
But these video cards give excellent results on ProgPow, ZelHash and other algorithms.

The 3090 is the better choice because is not lhr, forget lhr gpus, let gamers have all the lhr gpus they want. I will never buy an lhr gpu in my life and I dont mine, is not because of selling it either, is because I have principles that nvidia and their gang violated in this regard. Nvidia could have done something great here, if nvidia had given users less hashrate and less heat then it would be a win, less hashrate and same heat, that is not good.
Lol im glad I can still find rtx3060ti non LHR in my country 💯 they are mostly gigabyte brands and the seller said they got them from Dubai, I got a 3090 that has thermal issue but got fixed after changing thermal pads but 3060ti brings less worries than 3090, I keep watching it's memory temp here and there

A 3060ti LHR will give you 43MH on ETH and three of that is 129-130MH so yes it march a single RTX3090 120-130MH hashing power and also you will have rest of mind, 3060ti generates less heat and works peacefully unlike the troublesome 3090

Good list you have here pal but that RX6900XT is bad because 62MH per the GPU seem too low for a 6900XT (higher end GPU) don't you think? That GPU is on par with RTX3080 I believe so I was expecting something around 75-80MH from that GPU not 3060ti kinda performance and it's way overpriced too

I built an off grid solar "pod" for my refrigerators. It's more about being "power-outage proof" than it is saving money for us as we're Gulf coast; there is a some degree of ROI as a side benefit.

The rapidly advancing solar tech has created a great solution called a "hybrid" imvertor".
As you prolly know The BASIC invertor takes the battery's 12v DC and turns it into 110 v AC. THE Hybrid invertor as some smarts and an AC INPUT.
The smarts measure the battery level and decides whether to rely exclusively on the solar array+ batteries for its output and battery charging, or act like an Extention cord from the wall plug direct to the hybrid's battery charger and AC output for the fridges.

So on cloudy daze and at night I'm paying FPL for the power, however on most daze it's sunny and it uses the solar array completely bypassing the AC input.  Today is cloudy, it's around noon, I found that my solar array has charged the batteries so that the invertor is Not using the AC input, but the batteries/solar array exclusively, so it's a Yay-day 😏 I snapped a Pic, but I can't see how to upload directly into this thread and I'm too lazy to put the pic in my cloud and link to it here 😉
I could add batteries to the extent of 24hr coverage, but it's really overkill for our "emergency profilaxis with12hr/day Roi ".  
  The AC INPUT to the hybrid invertor can come from a gas generator as alternative to AC from a plug on the wall.
I'm in around $4k for the setup & ability to sleep well knowing our food won't spoil.
There's more, but that's the elevator-ride pitch.

So imma build a 2ND bigger array with some lithium batteries and power my 220 HVAC and this rig..... At least that's the plan. Now THIS pod"s intention is to run the AC off grid at a larger scale than just the daytime refrigerator pod.....i wanna stop leakin money to FPL.

I figure on 24hr mining, half on me, half on uncle Sol.

I'm gonna jump into GPU mining.
Gonna build a Linux 6-12 system.
I'm gonna build a solar generator for power.
I have concluded that a minimum of 8gb per gpu is the sweet spot.
I'm torn :'(Biostar TB360-BTC PRO 2.0 Core i7/i5/i3 (Intel 8th and 9th Gen) LGA1151 Intel B360 DDR4 12 GPU
And
Intel BTC 250 /which was reported here as solid, but I can't find just now 🙄)

I've observed a more-or-less direct relationship between memory and payback.

So.... How far up that tree can I climb?
Is 2 24gb cards gonna match 6 8gb cards?

The price is comparible, the upside of the 24gb might be a bit of future-proofing.

Yes you can´t find this board, because it not exist. This user who recommend this board mean the china B250 boards for intel sockel lga 1151 like this:

You can find such boards also on Aliexpress for example.

And GPU´s i will go with used RTX2060S -> because they are cheap -> solid hashrate of 45mh and less energy than a RTX3060ti

Price is comparable but you will get higher hashrate with the 3x 3060ti, you said you planning on running solar generator? Can you share more information on that? How many AH is your solar generator backup? Do you plan on mining 24/7 around the clock? Sun won't shine through out the 24hrs
